Picked this up wandering the internet, it was a modern, yet somehow refreshing take on Jesus driving the money changers from the temple, thought I'd share. (media.greatawakening.win)

You know, what little I understand Jesus (not originally a religious man), I feel this was everything he did and said.

Like, I get the impression when he was asked something, he didn't just had the immediate wisdom. He meditated on it for a moment, got the words in order in his mind and then spoke them.

Another thing to remember about the 'weapon' used to thrash the scoundrels: A whip of cords is not a sword.

Being of the 'House and Lineage of David' was our Lord battle trained? Could he have chosen and used a sword on the money-grabbers? My research on this matter has revealed very little. He possibly could have been a killer - if He so decided. We DO know that He could kick some ass, almost bare handed. I think He was after humiliation - not blood.

There is indeed a spiritual aspect to this story, but that does not mean there was not a literal physical aspect as well.

Jesus crippled the money lenders operation and was killed for it post haste.

Yes. It's not easy and would be a lot to write here in all detail so these aren't step by step instructions as such. First, you have to become aware of them - so any time you are afflicted, let's say you're angry, you're jealous, you're sad (or exuberant), take note. Then you must reflect on them to see them clearly in meditation (triggers, causes). Finally you must ask (pray) to have them destroyed. To kill your ego is very difficult and takes a lifetime. Let me know if you are interested in reading about esoteric Christianity, I can send you a link to some interesting reading / listening.

That's great, since it isn't for everyone. Everyone can do it, but not everyone is willing to do the work. Here's a starting point, that website really is a treasure.

https://glorian.org/learn/courses-and-lectures/esoteric-christianity/esoteric-christianity-01-introduction?highlight=WyJlc290ZXJpYyIsIidlc290ZXJpYyIsImNocmlzdGlhbml0eSIsImVzb3RlcmljIGNocmlzdGlhbml0eSJd

You can listen to the lecture & look at the PDF slide or read the transcript. It may be overwhelming in the beginning but as you get more used to the meaning of certain symbols and concepts, it starts coming together. Keep an open mind, your ego might reject some ideas outright. Bless you fren, have a good day :) I'm interested in hearing from you again if you decide to take the path.

The Parousia begins in Racine, Wisconsin.

The Truth has been shared for many years.

Racine is the reason they shut Voat down, and why they chose Christmas Day.

Jesus Christ is The Lamb. The Truth is The Lion.

Expose the “Root”. Reveal the Agenda. Deny the Mark.

As fair of a question as that is, I couldn't imagine Jesus doing it the old-fashioned way as that, to me, would imply that he would willfully cast aside his apparent super-natural ability to take a greater satisfaction out of it. That would then lean towards an ego-driven decision.

Making a magic whip and gettin' that ass 'cause God said so sounds more Christ-like to me.

He magically transformed water into wine. Manifested a bunch of fish and bread. Makes sense that he could have pulled a whip out of thin air too.

OP’s screen cap is cool and would make for a great graphic novel, but it also seems likely the author needed him to have a whip so he magically had a whip.

In both the wine and food situations, he didn’t pull things out of thin air. He worked with existing materials: water and empty vessels and some fish and bread that was already there.

Miracles throughout the Bible work that way as well, good can take everyday items and make them miraculous and they are because God is involved, but He is never far away. We are just like those simple things transformed by God and we need a little faith and sometimes God let’s us perform miracles too.

I have heard stories like missionaries have a keg of Gatorade and not running out. Miracle healings were also common at one of the churches I attended at my out of state college. Some immediate, some God showing His work to doctors who couldn’t with a man who had a complicated and twisted brain tumor, the church prayed and when they looked again, it was in a neat little ball to pluck out.

It's also said that some monks around the world (Nepalese, in particular) can create their own food in this way. Whether you believe this or not is up to your discernment but I personally believe that Jesus was the embodiment of maximum human potential, who both chose and was chosen to come here and set our species back on a path from which we had strayed (yet again). It just dawned on me where the 'Good Shepherd' name came from. Whoa.

Since we're on GW (<3 you open-minded pedes), I don't think it is that much of a stretch to say that since we have compiled pretty solid evidence of at least a century of societal/global slavery, it's not that outlandish to claim that our bodies [instruments] are probably capable of things that we have no idea about and/or have been purposefully kept from the general population.

It also just occurred to me that some of the rumored teachings of the masonic degrees above 33rd involve this kind of "magic," which falls in line with these things being kept as secret knowledge.

We are partially spiritual beings, we can partner with divine power (God) or demonic power. Fallen spiritual beings may lend humans their power, but they are the ones that demand child and blood sacrifices. They are bad gods to serve.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– Freedom_burger 2 points 4 years ago +2 / -0

I believe that we are spiritual beings at our core; our bodies are instruments and are not us; our bodily senses fool/blind us into believing this but meditation bears out this truth in time. This is the Law of One at work.

All is One, and quantum mechanics are starting to also bear this out but good/evil are sides of the same "coin" both existing and not existing based on collective observation all happening within this same shared reality.

You're onto something given that we're here to exercise free will but I don't believe the choice is between good/evil; it's a choice of service: to self, or to others.

Service to self requires manipulation of others to achieve this while infringing on their free will, whether they are aware or not. I believe that this generally creates what we know as "evil" as well as how we ended up with an "elite" ruling class over time. This doesn't make the perversions/distortions any more palatable, but still provides a frame of reference in which these heinous acts can, and do, exist. This represents the negative pole of our duality.

Service to others is the path of least resistance because you're squaring and compounding efforts in service to each other, in a sort of cooperative effort [co-creation]. This, I believe was our natural state of being, and one I think more and more people are starting to realize, myself included. This represents the positive pole in our dualistic reality.

Anyway I appreciate your input and need to try and reel in my spiritual ranting lol. In any case thank you!

Yeah, I’m with you on that. He could produce an abundant food supply from one basket of fish and bread, but a whip? Naw, he took hours making it. Still funny imagery to think of him sitting there braiding away, all mad. But I think he probably whipped it up like the son of God he is.

You guys missed the biggest point of all: the religious people were selling animals for sacrifices and Jesus rebuked them FULLY.

This practice of buying/selling animals to sacrifice for forgiveness of sins is repulsive and satanic. Period.

People would bring their own animals for sacrifice, but they’d be deemed unworthy. So they could trade in their offering for a certified specimen, plus some money, but not just any money, special money, with a poor exchange rate. These money changers were the target, not the altar.

This is really funny and I love some proper Jesus humor.

On a more studious note, the man also wielded raw creative potential in his hands so he likely could summon a whip at will. This doesn't mean He acted without consideration, but it's important to remember that Jesus was likely not bound by the same human limitations we set on ourselves (you read that right).

This is still important in context because (I'm no expert, please chime in!) I don't recall Jesus wielding, much less creating, another weapon/tool of any kind. At least not one that was used in this way, which speaks VOLUMES for how perversely He thought the mercantile system was and flew in the face of our human nature/intention. In this case, mercantilism was allowed to creep into the temple itself, which is as strong a metaphor as I can think of for condemning the transactional nature of organized religion, and possibly a condemnation of the very nature of transactional living/value itself.

IMO, charity in creation is our natural way, but when we can't summon intrinsic value from within for whatever reason (blindness to the true Self/Soul), I believe we are compelled to create it from without; hence money (and who doesn't know the old idiom, "Money is the root of all evil." Jesus saw this as an infestation and perversion within the Temple walls, and set to work.

Why did He not eradicate monetary trading as a whole? I think He did within His circle; freely giving and encouraging His followers to do the same. Alas, the roots of mercantilism and currency had grown too deep and wide at that time to be uprooted even by the Son of God, though this was also not His mission.

That is only a small part of our human puzzle anyway, IMO; Jesus' message regarding eternal life for the individual and sovereign soul was far more important and far more potent, withstanding the test of time that few other ideas have.
