Good thought, but I'm betting the govt funding is what is driving this. "Vax or we won't pay you." Hospitals can't function without govt dollars, so naturally administrators made the decision to get rid of the nurses, rather than change their funding sources. And this, my friends, is part of the way the govt came to be in charge of our health care.

I agree with you except on one issue - pricing. The pricing is controlled by CMMS. Yes, travel nursing is lucrative right now, but I wouldn't do it. Are you still able to work?
You and I know they buy cheaper gear,quit scheduled calibration,cut corners on sterilization,push housekeeping to the point of poor cleaning,reduce the number of labs allowed,change air filters less,suddenly expired meds can be used,increase residents pt load,decrease number of x-rays allowed.A thousand ways.Hospital gets more funding because they have to hire"outside".By the time admin scatters cost and cost cutting throughout the system,user is paying more money for less service.Ethics takes a backseat every time.I retired 3 years ago.

People. The hospitals are treating their personnel differently. That's the first civil liability they incur.
Secondly, in a civil court these tapes will be damning, third, coercion is illegal whether u resign or are terminated.
When your employer takes your tools to perform your job, i.e. computer passwords, email and access to work areas you are terminated. Your resignation should reflect tjey have done these things and trespassed you in spite of not giving official notice of termination.
Courts will interpret this as termination and your legal rights are preserved. They can't win with this strategy lawsuits will abound and you won't go to a state court with this. This is a violation of federal and international law due to the coercion and violation of fair practices.

About to lose job number 2 because of my refusal to take the jab. It’s a fucking rough time to be in nursing. I have til nov 1st to get vaccinated or as they put it, “willfully quitting” I’m tired of this but I do not consent to the jab. I’m about to be out of work again. To add, I was also told on for discussing with other unvaccinated nursing staff our constitutional rights and was told by management that work was not the place to discuss such things. Thankfully, those that are not yet vaccinated are holding strong and refusing til the final day. I’m reallly hoping this all ends soon because I’m running out of money and don’t know what I’m going to do. All I know is I will not cave and will live like a mountain man if I have to.
I pray for our brave nurses who refuse the jab. I am hopeful that enough of you can ban together to form your own private practice of nursing. An alternate economy existence is quickly becoming the only way to survive this tyranny.
There’s a republican committee meeting this Saturday where I live where I’ve convinced a few people to show up to hear what’s going on. I’ve been giving the opportunity to speak if I choose to and haven’t done any sort of speaking of this sort since high school so I’m a little nervous but I’m ready to drop some facts and call out this bullshit.

That’s the plan. I’ve had a few other workers around the building talking about quitting but I’ve convinced them to hold off. We had a mandate to get the vaccination by October 1st but enough resisted that they dropped it. After Biden’s address on the 9th however they brought it back and said that they would force it by November 1st. Roughly about 50% of us are resisting and waiting to get fired. It’s getting so bad that they had our residents make videos for us begging us to get vaccinated so they wouldn’t lose us as their caretakers. They’re pulling all the stops.

I’m brand new to the area and searching around. I left my state because of my last job as things were getting fucking ridiculous around me. I moved here as I was told there was no intention of forcing the vaccination only for that to be completely changed as soon as I got settled in.

Thanks. I’m not familiar with that one but the large hospital systems are cagey at best with outsourced medical staff and a lost focus on patient care years ago. It’s all about administration instead of the medical staff. Still, these nurses are strong and brave. I hope they have legal representation. It cannot stand.
Yes, they are cagey af. My friend is being offered ridiculously lucrative travel contracts, but it's at the Texas border. I told her don't do it. She's got 3 little kids at home. But the contract benefits are crazy lucrative - high hourly pay, 7 on, 7 off, fly you home on your off week, per diems ... it's all about the money and the funding. And administrators are stupid. I hope I never work in a hospital again. But I will tell you this: a hospital cannot function without nurses. So I wonder what will happen.
You are absolutely right about hospitals not functioning without nurses. Some years ago I noticed the change to outsourced , mostly international nurses and doctors. The only employees seemed to be admin which is only useful to the deep state. If your friend really needs the work I might consider the Texas border. At what point does firing nurses end up being harmful to patients? If they keep this up they might be fighting lawsuits from former employees AND patients.
