I read about NAC as few weeks ago. I have fatty liver (NAFLD) that typically goes away when i lose weight. Sadly, right now I'm not doing well on the weight loss / energy front.

Had to email my primary doc about something else last week and asked about NAC, and he said he would not recommend but could mention to my GI at my liver follow-up. Gave no reasons, just a short response.
I've been doing Vitamin C / D since covid started, and have recently added Zinc 1 or 2 days a week or daily if I start to get cold symptoms.
That said, how do you dose the NAC? Taken at night? during day? With food? Prob going to try it anyway. Doc also thinks I should get the vax so not much faith in them anyway at this point.
I'm not a doctor and obviously am not recommending anything officially. I have straight powder I measure 600mg to 1000 and mix with a couple ounces of water and drink it on a empty stomach in the morning. If your doctor is recommending the vax get a new doctor. Good luck.
