The funny part is, I used to go to Pravda all the time because, while they are a propaganda outlet, they would always relish dropping a bomb of what the US was doing...unfiltered. Foreign news sources are often a good place to go for news about our own country. They do not have as much of a political stake in what is happening here so the news is generally more well rounded. Just have and understanding what their own biases are.

I don't know the Shiks (Sheiks?) to well, but Koreans seem like a fairly well rounded bunch, and they generally remain grateful for our help keeping the Communists from taking the south part of their penninsula, and for continuing to keep them at bay, so they generally like us.
One overlooked thing I can appreciate about these quotes is the separation between the American people and the CIA in terms of intention and action. Our understanding of world conflicts has moved past the point of thinking “all Russians bad” “all Americans bad” “all Mexicans bad” “all Chinese bad” “all Iranians bad”, “all Germans bad”, etc. Most of which, one can assume, are good people, willing to get along, and it’s those few pulling the strings (deep state) that are responsible for the crises and hardships.
