I love Dave, commercials and all, his shows have kept me afloat when the dooming starts to get to me. I even got my 17 year old listening every night. I stopped watching msm last november and I keep up with everything on these boards and from Dave, I get too pissed trying to watch msm. i think Dave does a great job breaking things down, connecting Q posts, referencing relevent posts and info. Hes not for everyone and he can be easy to mock, but im greatful hes putting this stuff out there.

I think he’s great! He’s always there to offer encouragement. And he deserves to make a living.
I don't object (too much) to the adverts, but the way they are delivered detracts from the content.
They are in his voice, with the same intonation as the content, and there is no delineation between the ad and the content.
It puts people off. Surely the point is to encourage your viewers to look at your sponsors kindly, not put them off them.

Many criticism of Dave are valid, and yet, ultimately, I still think he does a good job.

Pretty sure I was just explaining to you “how” he makes money and NOT passing judgement on whether it’s right or wrong(TBH i could give a crap hence my handshake status - I typically only post when there’s something meaningful to say and not as a means to keep score)...
But seriously, you genuinely sounded confused by your question and was trying to figure out how someone could monetize free content.
Maybe next time before excoriating a person because they are a lowly “handshake” use some critical thinking and confirm the context of the answer.

while clear for some to see, most cannot yet realize that the motivation of many of these so called influencers is $$$ and fame (if not something even more nefarious). X22 earns upwards of 20k monthly if im not mistaken, and most of what they do is just rehashed board posts from here and godlikeproductions.
