I know Desantis just dropped a hefty fine on Leon County in Florida, I think it makes a difference if you're a federal employee, but I'm just speculating, perhaps do a search for the Florida case, Leon County, it's fairly recent, like a week, perhaps the articles you find will give facts, and maybe even provide some leverage with your employer.

It was sort of a neutral site for the States to consort and establish cooperative agreements. The sovereignty of the State has never been dissolved. From this, certain and limited rights were given to the federal government enumerated in the Constitution. All other authority not specified belongs to the States. The Federal government is limited to the ratified US Constitution.
For a job linked to federal contracts/money consult with an attorney or lawyer. If not then the only way for the mandate to apply to employees in the state of the Texas is to backdoor it through OSHA. But once OSHA puts it up they will be immediately challenged from every direction imaginable.
The question we all should be asking is "Why are all these companies going along with something that was SPOKEN by the fake resident and I understand released as a press release?"

I hear you. I just discovered today that there's another EO, EO 14042, that muddies up the water for EO 14043. My other half is currently fighting this battle and I've been trying to help. It seems pretty clear-cut to me that any sort of vaxx mandate is illegal, as all of the jabs available in the US are EUA. It violates the Nuremberg code and also Federal law:
"EUA products are by definition experimental and thus require the right to refuse. Under the
Nuremberg Code, the foundation of ethical medicine, no one may be coerced to participate in a
medical experiment. Consent of the individual is “absolutely essential.” A federal court held that

The thinking is that as long as you are traveling onto base and onto federal land, you are under federal control. So if you are not required to go onto federal land, that may not apply.
The primary reason though is that part of the contract agreement with the government ensures that the company complies with the federal guidelines and mandates to keep the contract. So its about those taxpayer millions in contract money in the end. They don't give a shit if it kills your or not, as long as they get that money and keep any awarded contracts.
I have found another contractor out of state that ensures that the contracts allow for exceptions for mandates like this for remote work. I will probably be leaving this company soon.

Gov Abbott's order just establishes a fine if they make vaccination a condition for employment. They can still fire people and just pay the fines if they are sued.
