I’ve had the misfortune to listen to U.K. headline radio news( not BBC) on the hour since COP26 started.
Everyday a different sound bite from a different elite. Because I am zoned out and awake you become aware that they are just regurgitating the same speech. Not one of them has actually talked about the environment because COP26 is not about the environment.
I was sick not covid obama as the first news I saw in 3 days. Obama sounds like he is kissing someones ass or asking for help is what I thought. Now after seeing this it does sound strange.
He was in his 50s back then. To kids, he would have seemed ancient. He is 98 now. I don't think he'll be around much longer.
A lot more people are living that long now, especially, it seems, from that generation. I had a late breakfast in a restaurant today, and a man came in who was 100 years old. He had driven himself there. Everyone knew his name. He's a veteran of WWII. The last time I saw him in there, someone else in the restaurant went up and paid his ticket for him so he got a free meal. There's a woman at my church who is 95, and she still drives herself to church.
