Hey, that's kinda my specialty! Pay no mind to the folks claiming astrology is misinformation or heresy. When you really really do the homework, you see that it is a part of nature & even religion, and always has been. Never ever be afraid of using the stars and planets as guideposts, no matter what anyone tells you. There is a reason that mankind has always looked up.

That being said, we are in for an interesting week astrologically speaking, but perhaps not the craziest week of the year just yet. Mercury and Venus are currently retrograde, the planets that respectively rule communication/information/technology, and love/money. Retrogrades are not inherently bad, but they do have a reputation for stirring the pot. When things are retrograde, think of "re" words: Rethink, redo, reveal, reconcile, remember...and so on and so forth.

Right now, Mercury is "combust" with the Sun. The Sun is our egos, our life force--and obviously a high source of energy. When Mercury & the Sun are "combust," that's just kind of a fancy way of saying that they're extra close together, and therefore powering each other up in a sense. Being so close to the Sun, Mercury never strays too far--but there are occasions every couple months when it is extra close, and that tends to create slightly more spicy situations here on Earth.

There's some stuff going on with Mars (the planet of ACTION) as well--it has just left firey Sagittarius for earthy and goal-oriented Capricorn, where it will spend the next month and a half or so. Mars wants to get things done, and get a moveon to some new situations. This is partly why we are starting to see the Co-Hoax narrative switch, and the Ukraine stuff beginning.

I've got to get off the computer to run a quick errand, but I am happy to say more later. Hope this helps for the time being~

Yes absolutely! My favorite book is called "The Only Astrology Book You'll Ever Need." Astrology Café is a fantastic website full of resources for beginners and intermediates alike. I haven't used YouTube much for astrology, but there is a lady namrd Anne Ortelee who does podcasts, and I adore her stuff. She has a website with lots of good resources too!

What does that mean? Is it the "mercury in retrograde" thing? As usual, people will pooh-pooh astrology but gee folks, planetary alignments have been considered significant throughout eons of time and why were Stonehenge and other ancient structures calibrated to celebrate key celestial events. Humanity is tied to the heavens. Interpreting astrological events in relation to our lives, is astrology.

Retrograde mercury will affect travel, communications and tech usually. It'll create delays and inconvenience really. It's a 3 week slow downto revisit missed details. No contracts should be signed as they tend to be a mess.

Packages get lost in the mail, contracts / agreements made during this time are bad, people are likely to mishear what you said...it totally sounds like old lady hocum...but I have met several professionals who specialize in shipping and logistics and there are more than a few true believers in mercury retrograde. It's right up there with beliefs about full moons and emergency rooms.

When I was a barista, I could quite honestly predict when our machinery would break down, need replaced, or go through sudden system updates--it was always during the Mercury retrogrades, which happen 3 times a year. Each and every time, something happened--not always catastrophic machine failure, but something. It got to a point where coworkers & folks I trained would ask me, "is Mercury retrograde right now? Is that why everything is broken?" and many times, I would smile and say "yep!"

You're right, and I tend to think it's probably just the moon in opposition to Uranus. Should be over soon.

"Moon Opposite Uranus Transit Moon opposite Uranus transit can cause emotional upsets and relationship turmoil. Whether self-inflicted or out of your control, the manner in which you react to change is critical.

Impulsive reactions and emotionally based decisions could turn a minor drama into total chaos. Your stronger than normal need to be free is another disruptive force to be aware of. You may annoy or tease a loved one just to get attention.

This is not the time for making important decisions, especially about relationships. Your instincts and intuition are not working properly. Chance encounters can lead to unexpected twists and turns. You are easily distracted and are subconsciously looking for excitement.

Making new friends now would likely cause unwanted disruption in your life. Unexpected events, mood swings, or emotional detachment can put a lot of strain on an existing relationship.

Unexpected change can affect your home and family as well as intimate relationships. Your mother and women, in general, would be most affected by your erratic displays of emotion."

Sun worship, of the deity type, may not have always been evil. I believe that many institutions have been infiltrated. It may have turned evil.

https://qagg.news/?q=infiltration

I don't have strong feelings either way though. I don't worship the Sun.

I did find it odd that when I visited the Masonic Temple in Philadelphia, the question evading tour guide volunteered one thing. He pointed to the ceiling and said of what was painted on it that it represents the Sun.

  1. Planets align in order When: June 24

Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn are all bright enough to be seen with the naked eye, and they will align in order before sunrise near the end of June.

The rare alignment will appear just before sunrise on June 24 across the eastern sky. The crescent moon will also be in line with the planets, shining between Venus and Mars.

Well, I don't know how Pluto got so close to the sun all of a sudden, so I'm assuming this isn't the most accurate representation.

I'd say aside from Venus and Mercury being in line with one another, nothing too special is going on.

Pluto is completing a cycle. Last time Pluto was in this position it was around 1776.

Pluto wasn’t even “discovered” until 1930. There’s no way to know where it was in 1776.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 4 ▼
– PumpkinsAndPopsums 4 points 4 years ago +4 / -0

Yes there is, actually. I won't get into the math or the overly verbose stuff, but to put it in a simple way: Since every planet revolves around our Sun in a certain orbital path, which thanks to technology has been measured for most objects in our solar system, astronomers can find patterns and determine where things were in the past.

For example, we all know the Earth takes 365 days to go around the Sun--that is our year. We could easily turn back the clocks thousands of years before astronomy ever existed to determine where the Earth was compared to the Sun, say in like 200BC. There are many computer programs for this nowadays.

This is why we now know where planets like Saturn and Pluto have historically been, since we can do the math around their orbital patterns. Since it takes Pluto around 250 years to travel one complete circle around the Sun, and since Zodiac signs exist, we can look at the sign & degree of where Pluto is right this very minute, and do the math to figure out the last time it was in that spot. It was indeed in the early days of our great country, from the revolutionary war through 1776, that Pluto was hanging out in late Capricorn/early Aquarius like it is right now~

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– DrFatsides 3 points 4 years ago +3 / -0

For space dudes I think orbital mechanics is like the "easy" stuff for that industry. Think of a pencil and a compass drawing a circle, with key measurements you can extrapolate backwards to follow the pattern to the past.

▲ 5 ▼
– PumpkinsAndPopsums 5 points 4 years ago +5 / -0

You are correct :) Lots of astrological and astronomical resources out there for sure. Each planet has its cycle, and Pluto isbno exception. It is currently in the last degrees of Capricorn, and will be entering Aquarius within the next couple years. Pluto takes around 250ish years to go all the way around the Sun, give or take. So right now I'd wager that Pluto is in the same spot that it was during the early days of America--and the revolutionary war. Once it enters Aquarius, it will pass over the same part of the sky that it did when the declaration of independance was signed!

JPL produced lots of algorithms for planetary orbits. Many places have implemented them and provide ephemeris data:

https://www.astro.com/swisseph/ae/1700/ae_1776.pdf

Today January 25 2022 the geocentric position of Pluto is at 26°43' Capricorn, and sure enough it was last at the same position on January 29 1776. As you say, it had not been discovered then of course.

On July 4 1776 Pluto was at 27°34' Capricorn so you could say the USA is finishing its first Pluto cycle this year when Pluto crosses that point again on February 21

Pluto symbolises lots of things related to power, including nuclear, and is basically not to be fkuced with - so anyone recognising astrology as meaningfully valid should certainly imagine this is a pretty serious time. Pluto moves real slow and deep so no exact Feb 21 datefagging.

I can tell ya, as a casual astrologer, that we don't care much if the planets are considered actual planets by scientific standards, as they represent the same symbolic things either way~ Honestly it is just easier for us 😅 You'll see the Sun and the Moon refered to as "planets"---no astrologer actually believes that they're planets, it's just so much easier to use that word instead of saying "objects in the solar system" every time!

That said, mercury does seem to align with when comms go smoothly or off rails generally speaking...
