Well it sounds like it could be subject to change? I wonder how old this notice is because OSHA has already dropped it's illegal mandate per SCOTUS. Still, I agree...boycott!
The point is that vendors are signing up for booths now. They are using their leverage right now to coerce people into getting a medical treatment. I suspect they will change the requirement and I think they know they will. That is a more egregious violation in my mind. Gen Con is the largest table top game convention in the world. Many small companies depend on it to get their products taken into local game stores. They are using their position of influence to try and force people into the vaccine. Fuck them.
It will continue until we build alternatives that refuse to require vaccines, masks or vax passes.
Generally conventions are a financial drain/break even business for about 5 year while you establish your client/visitor base to show staying power & attendee growth before you get large investments by the major players in the niche your con is based on.
Sounds like some good red states need to start hosting these & new event s could attempt to drawn large crowds with a non vax requirement.
You may have heard that the 2023 Worldcon will be held in Chengdu, China. Huge controversy over how the voting was done (might sound familiar) but they're keeping the results.
I sent a somewhat civil email yesterday. Today I got a bullshit response and torched them. Will be posting on here and TD periodically. No FB or twat for me.
Its time for people to serve them with the papers created by David Martin or the Reiner Fullmich team. And while at it, point to the Ron Johnson video.
also, f their requirements. they are showing their hand, and exposing their own corruption. get out, and be glad you didn't catch whatever TF the stabbed are spreading.
you're MUCH better off, i promise.
wife and i used to cruise yearly. dropped that idea as soon as 'mandates' started happening.
Did anyone try the angle of suing these organizations for practicing medicine without a license?
Mandating a medical procedure, such as a vax for medical reasons, when not a medical professional or medical organization seems a bit law breaky to me.
It is a “table top game” convention. Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, all the way down to quick board games and card games. It is the largest convention of its kind in the world, and where lots of game creators can make it by getting their products to local game stores.
gencon can go f--k themselves. It's been taken over by slacktivists who invaded a haven for nerds and kicked / bullied all the nerds out.
Just look at how they are treating Gary Gygax'es son and the new TSR. (gary gygax was one of the founders of DnD and gencon)
Let the SJWs rot. we don't need a stupid con anymore now that the internet exists and even if it was good nothing is worth getting the mark of the beast for. Nothing
But if they follow this completely no one should be able to participate because there is still only the EULA approved, not fully approved. Sounds like they don't know this. Sounds like maybe you could shoot them an email educating them. Anyone can do this also if they feel like, sorry I can't at the moment. I am about to fall asleep and can't look up stuff right now.

I wonder if someone in their chain of command received an incentive
i wonder if said someone is on a board of DS corp
Understood. I agree with everything you've said. I guess this type of thing will continue until some legislature makes it illegal.

Unfortunately GenCon has been cucked for a while now.

They won't require it at the door. Lots of places doing this cuckery in CA
Understood. I think they will back off. Even more fucked up IMO. Coercing small businesses into a treatment.
Its time for people to serve them with the papers created by David Martin or the Reiner Fullmich team. And while at it, point to the Ron Johnson video.
And in future years, never go again. Remember all who attempted to abuse us.
dude, charge your phone.

I’m at 50% now, FYI. Also, not going ever again and they are aware.
if their attendance is down by 90 %... they'll get the hint.
Osha mandates at a convention? Yikes!
Gary Gygax doesn't approve of this message lol.
The game industry seems overly totalitarian on this. GAMA is also requiring people to be boostered to go.

What is "Gen Con"?
It is a “table top game” convention. Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, all the way down to quick board games and card games. It is the largest convention of its kind in the world, and where lots of game creators can make it by getting their products to local game stores.
death jab for D&D......no thanks
We have a game group. We don’t play D and D lol. But it was generally fun to go find a few card games or board games to play in the group.
Boycott them. What a wonderful sight it would be to have huge empty rooms and very few vendors.

Just don't go. Attendance rates of 0% do have an effect.
As a self identifying nerd, this saddens me. I've never been, now..... Shit
Yeah, fuck GenCon.

'approved or authorized' includes Emergency Use Authorization - they know exactly what they're doing.
