What's the origin of "amen"? Amen-Ra the sun god?
My understanding is that in Jesus' time and before people would end a statement with "by Amen," referring to Amen-Ra the Sun God. In other words Amen would agree. These days we say, "I swear to God." Same thing.
It does seem weird that we always invoke an ancient Egyptian deity for any modern prayer. But maybe it's carried over since Jesus would probably speak in that customary manner.

You could imagine how embarrassing the first explanation might be, which is why I believe there was invented an alternative answer. I still think it's Egyptian.
In the same manner Christians are more comfortable pretending virgin births and winter solstice holy days are original Christian inventions.
But I don't think it makes very much sense for it to be Egyptian. Especially since it would have been a New Testament thing, and the NT writers were far from the type to shy away from abolishing custom.
This type of false attribution happens a lot even in the modern day. Fake etymologies for words are invented all the time simply because they 'seem' to be right. If you believe the answer was invented, sure. I doubt your belief holds much water, however, since it lacks much corroboration at all.

I suppose both theories could be true. My understanding is that in that area they had been saying "by Amen" (or a similar spelling) for centuries. Maybe it's true that the Hebrews invented a very similar word to also use at the end of statements. Perhaps they have absolutely, absolutely nothing to do with each other. I think saying that would make people a lot more comfortable.
I think it would be a stretch to suggest that the Hebrews invented the sun god Amen Ra. Or that the Egyptians would not mention him frequently in conversation, being that he was considered the highest Egyptian deity. So perhaps both theories are true.
Looking into the question on a good search engine, one can see there is a clear camp of people that claim it's only of Hebrew origin and never significantly existed before that. Others claim that there could be some connection and crossover. It is clear that the matter is not settled, unless you ask somebody named "factcheck" or a particular Rabbi.
The deeper question is did Jesus invent the term Christ? Now there's a rabbit hole for ya.
