๐๐๐ DuckDuckGo's far-left political donations and abuse of user data has been going on since 2019. (Excellent red-pill videos in the link.)

I got to quote u/Qtoad and say
"FuckFuckNo"
:)
Oh that's good!
DuckDuckGosomewhereelse
I researched them a while ago, they are basically pulling the results from Google. All search engines do. There was never a real benefit from using them, result wise. I wasnโt sure security wise, but this doesnโt surprise me. I imagined since the results come from Google, the big G get all the info.
When most, if not all of the search engines run their programs through Google's, it's hard to separate the wheat from the chaff.
SWITCH TO BRAVE
I use Brave browser, and just tested a few of the built-in search engines. For each one I searched "great awakening" and "q drops."
Interestingly, I found that Qwant had the best results.
I use Qwant when I dig.
Likewise Qwant and sometimes Yandex.
[they] thought we wouldn't figure it out.
I called them out on a promoted tweet in 2019 and they gave such a MSM globohomo reply which didn't really answer my critique, yet did somehow. We know about DDG faggots.
where is the TRUMP Browser??????
Everyone should be using brave search engine
Wikipedia says regarding yippy.com:
Current statusUnknown (corporate status "Revoked", redirecting to DuckDuckGo)
This is in fact what happens if you try to go to url yippy.com, it redirects you to DDG.
Changed to brave yesterday.
What are some alternatives for people to use ?
Qwant.com Yandex.ru
Thank you
Is there a option to have yandex in English?
yes
No idea. I use English in the search bar and it works.
Brave search and browser
Did you see comment above:
People tried to spread the word when tim.pool was pushing brave browser and how it wasn't any safer than Alphabet's warez. Yet here we are.
I think that u/muhqtardtho is saying Brave is not better than DDG.
Can you show me how it's not safer? Not trying to be snarky. Genuinely curious. Brave uses its own index for searches and blocks ads and trackers and doesn't create a user profile of you. As for the Chromium bit:
https://brave.com/privacy-features/
So they claim they've taken the best parts of google search engine, made it their own and don't rely on google in any way. Of course this is what they claim. I get it if you're skeptical of any search engine, regardless of what they say. Google is still the superior search engine, but Brave seems like the best alternative I've come across. Just my two cents!
Did you see this. I might give Brave a try:
https://reclaimthenet.org/brave-introduces-new-feature-to-protect-against-invasive-tracking/
Nicely write up fren, but I know nothing about Brave. All I was doing was passing on a comment someone else had made.
It sounds like you've done a moderate amount of research into Brave, and that a good thing.
Maybe make a post asking for input from the community.
Watch the videos. They are full of good information, including the answer to your question.
Maybe I'm stupid but I did not get a whole lot out of either video.
From the first video I learned that despite DDG's no-tracking claim that they install two cookies which may in fact be tracking out searches and usage.
Via the second video, I heard that the two alternatives might be qwant.com and startpage.com. I have switched back to startpage.com that I was on before started using DDG.
The yippy.com url does nothing but take me to DDG. I even typed in search box, yippy search engine and see the link "yippy.com", but when I press it, it takes me to DDG. I even uninstalled DDG Privacy Essentials and reset home page to yippy.com. Still same issue.
Are you able to get to yippy.com?
Update: Wikipedia says:

Did you try Qwant? I didn't see any of your responses about that one.
https://www.qwant.com/
Thank you
The article suggests Yippy but because a lot here said Brave, thatโs where Iโm headed! WWG1WGA
Iโm thinking Brave. Heck even Russian Yandex is better.
A few people here were pointing out they had contributed tons of money to the DNC a long time ago... and Thank you for that ... I appreciated that info :)
Shit. Where next?
Read the article and watch the videos. The information is really good and easy to digest.
I use Brave browser with Qwant search engine.
Been using brave for awhile now. Plus, the BAT coin is directly tied to it. Kinda nice owning a crypto and actually using the tech as well.
I had heard/read about a year ago, that Google had purchased DDG. Hmmm, that may have been true.
In all honesty, I'm not to concerned about private searching but I just don't want "skewed" or slanted searches. Which is the best for that?
Good thing people in here have been telling everyone to use DDG for years. Good job idiots. You just fed the beast more information.
Your horse isn't as high as you think. All the search engines are CIA tools.
People tried to spread the word when tim.pool was pushing brave browser and how it wasn't any safer than Alphabet's warez. Yet here we are.
I've been posting this exact link in comments for a long time. It gets buried quicker then you think.
I suggest you take this link and the videos inside of it and share it with your friends to do your part as well.
