There was a cool one as part of the Mensa test. It looked like a series of math questions, but once you figured the pattern to find the answers you didn't have to do the math! Thank god or else I wouldn't have done very well🐸
Good one.
Inconceivably, I actually saw the actor in an airport once.
I didn't want to bother him like a fanboy, so I got his eye and acted like I was drinking out of a poisoned cup, sticking my tongue out and rolling my eyes....and then gave him the thumbs up. LOL
Lol no :) & it wasn't a pattern to the answers. It was a pattern to the way you could figure each answer. I can't recall the details, but remember going from "oh shit" to "cool!"
That's pretty neat. Got a smart friend who was interested in taking the test until he realized it wasn't free. He always says he's smarter than the folks in Mensa because he wasn't dumb enough to pay for bragging rights lol.
You used to be able to do the home tests for free (UK / Ireland in the late 1980s). They’d send out a pack, you do it in <30 minutes, then post it back. They’d send you back the results. Not supervised or anything, but free (just paid postage) & yes by Mensa headquarters in the UK.
The real test cost money so no, never did it. Was just curious & did two home tests spaced 18 months apart. 3 points difference between them.
It's true. After taking it once and getting 110 (boo), I suddenly wondered if this other logic applied as well, and not just simple maths or whatever false impression I was under.
I retook the test and added +20 points to score a lean IQ of 130.
I took the ASVAB. Then they gave me several other tests.
I saw people sitting next to me and leaving after 20 mins. I was there for Almost 3 hrs. Then they stopped me in the middle of things and took me aside.
“You finished the ASVAB so we gave you other tests. Your Empathetic Social Score was off the charts as were everything else. We want you to go into Air Force Military Intel as an Officer GS-8. You can choose your station, base, do whatever you want to work on. We have the best toys around.”
They wanted me to go to Rammstein.
Anyone know why? It was around 2000 when this happened. I still don’t know why Air Force or why Rammstein.
They wanted you to go into something Intel/psyop related, my first guess.
Why?
As warfare became an irregular fight for the minds of the people, things 'of the mind' aka psychological operations were considered things 'of the air'.
Ideas 'in the air' like the 'cloud' which is Intel.
And so Psyops are based in the Air Force.
Rammstein on foreign soil w/ special conditions would have cover, and where you might be stationed and in what capacity would be determined by their view of the results of your training and your abilities like maybe languages you might already speak.
Actually - damn - I never thought about that. You're dead on, 2EyesOpen. I don't recall having a conversation with them about Germany - if I recall I took a language portion in the battery and absolutely had some questions in german and i am just now remembering this. They were randomly in a section and my brain just read them without clicking they were in german ( i can read / speak it ).
Duh.
Interesting take on Air Force. I figured that had a possible connection into INTEL - It would make a ton of sense to have a big SIGINT / HUMINT base there for entry into MILINT right? Being a huge NATO hub.
I finished the ASVAB in the top 2% in Oakland county MI....I never got any additional tests...just constant nagging from a recruiter, who btw was named Sgt. Carter.
What's crazy is I took amphetamine before the test and killed it on decoding decryption but I am Asperger's anyway so whatever but honestly I would not have stayed focused otherwise
I was in with the CYPHER Phreeks back then and it was so flipping fun figuring out the puzzles.
I have some crazy stories.
One of our guys was arrested for a LSD distribution thing at a major US University. Got access to the Gov Issued LSD-25 & LSD-38 making a blend and then sold it around.
After he was rolled up we figured out his parents were legit never told about it and he was nowhere to be found.
Bout 3 days later we are throwing a house party and a black car pulls up, he hops out, all “hey! Sup guys?” Like nothing had happened.
“Where the hell were you? What’s going on?!?”
“Oh, it’s chill. They gave me a job at Sun Microsystems.”
He had to learn Java that week and then started working for Sun. Went back to school like nothing had happened. Said he couldn’t go into any details.
For sure man. He was a weird guy. Met him at a Gifted School. He was into older ladies, too, which always stuck out. Never saw him date someone under 50 ( we were late teens / early 20s ).
Divergent thinking is a thought process or method used to generate creative ideas by exploring many possible solutions. It typically occurs in a spontaneous, free-flowing, "non-linear" manner, such that many ideas are generated in an emergent cognitive fashion. Many possible solutions are explored in a short amount of time, and unexpected connections are drawn. Following divergent thinking, ideas and information are organized and structured using convergent thinking, which follows a particular set of logical steps to arrive at one solution, which in some cases is a "correct" solution.
Basically Divergent Thinking seeks to more completely grok a concept and explore it's interelations with other concepts / factors / stimuli across our entire periphery of awareness. Hence "Why"
Convergent thinking is the type of thinking that focuses on coming up with the single, well-established answer to a problem.[1] It is oriented toward deriving the single best, or most often correct answer to a question. Convergent thinking emphasizes speed, accuracy, and logic and focuses on recognizing the familiar, reapplying techniques, and accumulating stored information.[1] It is most effective in situations where an answer readily exists and simply needs to be either recalled or worked out through decision making strategies.[1] A critical aspect of convergent thinking is that it leads to a single best answer, leaving no room for ambiguity. In this view, answers are either right or wrong. The solution that is derived at the end of the convergent thinking process is the best possible answer the majority of the time.
I recently purchased the Divergent Series. Pretty good flick that shows we are a threat for the powers that be because of our critical thinking abilities.
The music… I thought you meant music in your head? Not a recording or external, for me it just starts as an note or two, then if I listen & relax/focus can get more complex?
I took a silly 54 question online test that said I'm in the autism spectrum. Don't know how reliable those are, but I'm inclined to believe the results. I obsessively chase stories and discern patterns and links. I hope I can put it to good use someday. I can't contribute much to society, really a nonconsequential guy, but I love the idea of being a part of patriotic digital warriors
"Conspiracy theorists" stop meaning what they needed it to mean just in time for when they needed the phrase to stick more than ever. Think about that. Decades of using it as the deflection phrase and it literally becomes a badge of honor when they need it the most.
Vaccines makes Autists
Autists take down Vaccines.
Now don't you go supporting "vaccines" there good buddy. Just because you're funny, you don't always have to prove it. 😉
I like it!!
The Tao of Therapeutic Autism
lol
Yes and another cool Frankenstein story is the KKK and the mafia. K k k led to prohibition which led to the mafia which killed the k k k
Ironic isn't it!? That's why this show is so comedic.
They had a section on the ASVAB (military's entrance test) for Pattern recognition at least when I took it.
It's common for iq tests. Been seeing them pop up in my YT shorts feed.

I once took a mensa test against a Sicilian. I was told to never bet against him. He died a poisoned death.
I see what you did there, MAGA. LOL!!!

Inconceivable!
My old boss said he was a member of Mensa. He was great at corporate strategy and making loyal customers, so I learned a lot from him.
BUUUUT..... I'm having my doubts now because he hated President Trump and got all his shots. 🤷♂️
Lots of intelligent morons out there😁
Ask him if he has heard of Womensa. If not, suggest he start the first chapter and lead it. He'll probably take the bait.
Was it multiples of 3?
Lol no :) & it wasn't a pattern to the answers. It was a pattern to the way you could figure each answer. I can't recall the details, but remember going from "oh shit" to "cool!"
Haha cool man. I know the feeling but not on a test like that! Lol
Hey, that feeling is good anywhere, anytime!👌

I think that's what my friend did as well. He's got about a decade on me and says it was when he was a younger kid.
It's true. After taking it once and getting 110 (boo), I suddenly wondered if this other logic applied as well, and not just simple maths or whatever false impression I was under.
I retook the test and added +20 points to score a lean IQ of 130.
Sweet! That's cool you were able to take the test again! I thought they we're fussy about that🐸

Sorry the meme just got the conversation too well
Its the AF European HQ not sure on any particular events
I finished the ASVAB in the top 2% in Oakland county MI....I never got any additional tests...just constant nagging from a recruiter, who btw was named Sgt. Carter.
hah yea I went with a recruiter famous for buying everyone dinner if they took it. My take was "free füd"
What's crazy is I took amphetamine before the test and killed it on decoding decryption but I am Asperger's anyway so whatever but honestly I would not have stayed focused otherwise
This was the purpose of Cicada 3301 as well.
Fishing for a special kind of autist.
This was all the rage man.
I was in with the CYPHER Phreeks back then and it was so flipping fun figuring out the puzzles.

It all just went away.
We can only imagine how many similar instances there have been.
People who show a certain mettle have that metal tested in the fire.
What an interesting story, thanks for sharing.
For sure man. He was a weird guy. Met him at a Gifted School. He was into older ladies, too, which always stuck out. Never saw him date someone under 50 ( we were late teens / early 20s ).
Awesome to see someone posting about Cicada 3301.
Welcome to the digital army
Carry on, soldier
Capture The Flag Season 1
Normie: patterns that just aren’t there!
Chad: dude, you are looking at a chess board.
Convergent Thinking vs Divergent Thinking.
Some brains legit work differently.
Some of us are actually put together differently.
Question - do you ever hear music so completely it makes the hair on your neck stand up and you get goosebumps?
Or improvise and wonder where that just came from?
That would fall into Divergent Thinking.

Yup. Keep thinking maybe I should try write it down, but it’s nice just to listen :)
I am derping. Write what down?
The music… I thought you meant music in your head? Not a recording or external, for me it just starts as an note or two, then if I listen & relax/focus can get more complex?
Yep. That goes with it.
I hear songs in my dreams and will replay things in my head in total detail constantly. Gets annoying when I try to sleep
I have Asperger's and am very good at pattern recognition and solving puzzles. I would qualify for Mensa, but I've never bothered to join.
I can absorb vast amounts of information, sort it all out, and come to a conclusion. It pays well as a side hustle.
Lead a smart person down a well reasoned path and they're not likely to stray from it. Doesn't mean it's true, just well reasoned.
If Q wasn't genuine Q would have died on the Chan's
Local autist here to just show up.
Brilliant observation, in front of us the whole time! The Q seed needed fertile soil to grow. It would have landed on blind eyes anywhere else.
I was always terrible at recognizing patterns.
Ah yes the long lost Book of Reeeeeeeeee

This place is not 8kun.
That place is on a different level and this is why it bothers me that many here take cheap shots at the owner of 8kun's son Code Monkey Z.
That being said the "jewish" trash come in here all the time to attack, to protect their Satanic position of chief swindlers.
