I will never use uber or lyft in my life. If I need a ride I will call a friend or a taxi
Taxis are extremely overpriced. Down here in Texas, most uber drivers are super done with the mask wearing bs and will sigh in relief when you ask them if they really care if you don't wear a mask.
it isn't about the drivers, it is about paying the beast. Any time you can avoid paying companies like uber you should. Not saying people that don't have the resources should pay more than they have to, but if you have the resources you should be very careful as to who receives your money.
I'd much rather pay uber or lyft 7$ for a 2 mile ride, instead of paying Yellowcab 25$ for the same distance.
Free market economy promotes competitive pricing. I will pay whoever gives me the service I need for the least amount of imaginary monies.

I don’t think they should rate customers. I took a few rides and I actually paid and left hefty tips and yet I don’t have 5star rating . Not that I give a shit but still I don’t want that shit to spend my fuckin money.
I was a driver in 2018, to get out of the house and drive around the city. Lots of fun.
They should absolutely rate riders. Some folks are trash. The bad thing about Lyft is the fact they pair ratings of drivers with riders. When you have a 5.0 rating, it's great. You get great riders and great drivers.
But I got 2 1-star reviews on the same night which put me below 4.0 and I was done. All I got was trash people that didn't tip and were rude as hell. Wasn't having fun anymore, so I stopped. 400+ rides 5 stars rides, and 2 on the same night ruined me. They only count the last few rides towards your rating.
All I gotta say is you must hit every navigation point and figure out pretty quickly what kind of person you're dealing with. Everyone is different.

Yea i guess. I was taking a cab across nyc and my buddy and i got in no masks. Cabbie who is masked asks us where we are going. We get halfway there and he pulls over and tells us if we dont mask we have to get out. So i paid him and left a zero tip and walked the rest of the way. Not a big deal dude, costing you money not me. That same cabbie goes into a bar, sits down next to 50 people and takes his mask off and thinks nothing of it. Handles cash all day long, no big deal, but masks off?? All of a sudden he feels at risk. I cant wrap my brain around the total disconnnect in common sense and logic

Agreed. I would also use them to get home after picking up drugs when I was younger lol. No one's going to pull over and search me if I'm in an uber, I figured.
