Unhappy hubby
🧐 Recommendations Wanted 🤔
Pedes, I need some help. Hubs has severe peripheral neuropathy of feet. Has had for years, probably decades. Two days ago he stepped on hot asphalt barefooted and didn’t even realize he had second degree burns. Not until I noticed a sticky trail on my hardwood floors with blood in it. I’m treating with horse paste and bandages. I need some advice about some great patriotic movies to keep him settled once I have him sofa bound. Thanks!
I once burned my arm and it starting showing signs of infection. I cut up an Aloe vera plant and sliced it down the middle and laid them flat over burn and bandaged it and it took care of the infection and helped nicely. Just change the dressing often enough to keep fresh Aloe on th site. Also lavender oil (make sure it is real not synthetic) is wonderful for burns. Actually NOW oil is easy to find and a great company. The homeopathic Cantharis is for burns and is very effective (take internally sublingually) Vitamin Shoppe has this on hand. I have treated sunburns with straight vitamin E and this has tremendous healing power. I am not a doctor but have used all these healing methods throughout my very long life. You could rotate the treatments or layer lavender, E and top with Aloe Vera plant and take cantharis. It all works. Spraying colloidal silver can also help to keep infection at bay. Hope he heals quickly.
Thank you
you can also use coconut oil as it is highly antibacterial and healing. My 80 year old father could mainly only sit due to parkinson, therefore he got open wounds at his bottom.
The doctor and elderly care came with something which made it only worse. I threw everything in the bin and demanded that only the coconut oil should be used. As on the weekends when I cared for him it always got better.
Finally they all did it and he recovered very, very soon. And every little sign of an open wound could also be healed immediately thereafter.
Second story: The hubby of some friend got cancer at his tongue and it was removed, but not healing. So he could not eat or drink. I also recommended coconut oil for oil pulling in the mouth and spitting it out afterwards. He also got very good results within a week and could drink and eat again.
Also: Always give high dosages of Vitamin C and D together with B12, Magnesium Calcium. The body needs this for effective healing.
I make topical salves for all kinds of things with coconut oil and essential oils and find that is very helpful. I only use coconut oil, butter and occasionally some olive oil for cooking. The term is called pulling when you use coconut oil in your mouth. It removes plaque, heals and has a cleansing effect...very useful. I buy it by the gallon from Tropical Traditions which is owned by Patriot Brian Shilhavy. My cats also enjoy it. Also I have read that vitamin C works well for healing burns but I have only used it internally so not sure how to use topically. Vitamin C is good for everything...I do believe!
Yes, oil pulling that was the term. Thank you, fren. I love coconut oil, since I have seen what it did for my father. He was suffering a lot because with parkinson you sit and lie a lot and there where the open wound.
It also helps with alzheimer's which is one of the reasons why I use it. My dad died of that and I don't want to go that way! I often use calendula salve to cover oils when I use them topically as this holds them in place and keeps them from evaporating so quickly.
Oh yes, calendula is also so very good for healing wounds, thank you for reminding me.
And yes, I read about the healing properties of coconut oil for the brain, also for parkinson, but I did not found a good way that my father would like to eat or drink it. So I researched and found other things. Try also Greek Verbenna = Sideritis (yes, only the original from Greece!) it is also very good to treat Alzheimer.
"German research on Greek mountain tea, also known as verbena and Tsai TouVounou, has emphatically shown that it can prevent or even reverse Alzheimer's disease, a degenerative and debilitating mental illness that now affects many elderly people around the world.
Two years earlier, a study by the well-known Alzheimer's researcher Professor Jens Pahnke - the so-called Alzheimer's hunter - had shown in mice that daily treatment with a sideritis extract dissolves and improves the animals' memory performance. "

I wouldn't call it patriotic but The Cont of Monte Cristo is a great movie if you haven't watched it before.
It's free on Bitchute as well. https://www.bitchute.com/video/yWWTUjlyJkMC/
The best thing for burns, especially when you first get burned is cool water.
Cool water removes the heat, limiting damage. Not COLD, cool.
Burned hand on pan just out of 500 degree oven. Reached over to grab the handle while chatting, and picked up the pan. Full red mark from thumb to little finger.
Grab large bowl, ate dinner watched movie with hand in cool water. Stopping and resetting when my hand/water got warm. Had to move hand gently the whole time. After a movie pain was mostly gone. Next day just a small blister. Should have been much worse.
Cool water is key, remove the heat and it will lessen impact of burn.
The Patriot, of course!
“The Pacific” miniseries with James Badge Dale. It’s excellent.
I hope he heals up quickly. That sounds terrible.
Glory…one of my favorites
Poor hubby 🙏
Mind you, I'm not a doctor, but I can share with you my own experience with neuropathy. My case "seems to" be exacerbated by stenosis in my L4/L5 and L5/S1 lumbar, although, despite MRIs, discography, etc., etc., doctors will not go forward with a surgical option. When it was at its worst, I had difficulty walking because of the excruciating pain in my hips, thighs, and my feet began going numb.
Over a decade ago, I was exposed to formaldehyde fumes over a long period of time. It messed up my immune system bigtime, which is progressively getting worse with a wide spectrum of symptoms. (The worst of the symptoms is chronic migraine.) As it turns out, I now have adult-onset celiac/neuro...which is a sub-classification of celiac. It is much more serious than the gastro classification. One of the symptoms of celiac is poor absorption of certain key nutrients, among them, B12. I had to figure out all this on my own...no doctor even offered any helpful guidance. B12, as it turns out, is immensely important in nerve health.
So, going gluten-free (and watch out for gluten analogues, like gums and carrageenan), supplementing with B12, and there also appears to be some benefit from green tea with ginseng -- my neuropathy is 90% at bay. It can come back if I do something wrong, irritating the nerves in my lower back. In that case, I daily do a traction exercise on the floor to stretch out my lumbar spine -- that exercise is critical for me. I don't have a fancy, expensive machine...just a carpeted doorway.
Don't mean to overwhelm you...there's much more I could write. I just wanted to let you and your husband know that there might be an option(s) available to help reduce the symptoms -- something doctors won't tell you. Best wishes!
I take 300mg magnesium each day to eliminate migraine and muscle cramps.
Ivermectin is useful in repairing myelin for nervous system problems.
Unfortunately, since my migraines are immune-related (actually inflammation of my brain inside the skull), nothing really helps much. Going gluten-free is helping, but the research says it can take up to two years to see significant benefit. I'm seven months GF. Tomatoes, yeast, food-additive gums, and msg are other migraine triggers. Doesn't leave much to eat! All my favorite foods are out.
In the meantime, I do a monthly injection of Aimovig, use triptans when needed, and switch between low-dose doxepin and amitriptylene to moderate the immune flareups. I'll check into the ivermectin, but my neurologist is a real jerk and it nearly takes an act of Congress for him to write a new prescription.
Thanks for the info and he is on a sublingual B12.
The best movies for healing are comedies, so how about some screwball comedies that will lift the mood, like My Favorite Wife, or Bringing Up Baby, or Life With Father (pretty sure that the liberals get ribbed in this one).
"We Were Soldiers"
"The Longest Day"
"A Bridge Too Far"
"1917"
Best of luck, fren.
Thanks. These are good!
A qualified chiropractor may be able to help with peripheral neuropathy, but not all chiros are created equally. I have a condition and it took lots of persistence and multiple chiros before I finally found relief. The one that helped me focuses on ART therapy.
Good chiros can simply do things doctors and surgeons can't. Or they can eliminate the need for surgery in the first place.
He should never be shoeless, for one, anywhere at any time he is walking. Both inside and out. I myself stepped on a sewing needle, and while it hurt, I did not know what had happened. After a while, I didn't notice it. Then I went for my first podiatrist visit and he saw something, and pulled the needle out. There was infection. and I don't even have bad neuropathy. Just a little numbness sometimes. So- Shoes!!!!!!
I'm no dr but keep them clean, soaks with a Epsom salts
Prayers for his healing.
I like Mel Gibson:
We Were Soldiers.
The Patriot.
Braveheart
You've received some good suggestions already; may I add mine. I'm currently watching "The Blacklist" - 9 seasons before everything went woke. Uncanny story lines considering this started in 2013. (MK Ultra; human trafficking; gov't blackmail)
Be careful you have cleaned the wounds thoroughly and check daily so it does not advance to sepsis, gangrene and he loses his toes or foot/leg. In the future do not go barefoot if you have neuropathy.
Yes, yes and he’s been told repeatedly about going barefoot. Now maybe he’ll heed my advice. I’m a retired nurse (which isn’t saying much today), but I know what to look for and so far it’s ok. Looks very red and angry
Shea butter and coconut oil can be whipped together. Colloidal silver would help as well. I use this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00830D9XO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Just be glad he still has his feet/lower legs. My good friends' dad has 2 prosthetic legs below the knee from peripheral neuropathy. Super inspiring dude, he's a master carpenter. My friend is on the same path, already has problems with his
If he’s on a statin think about getting him off. Statin users have high instance of neuropathy. And other serious problems. Do the research. https://www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/modern-diseases/dangers-of-statin-drugs-what-you-havent-been-told-about-popular-cholesterol-lowering-medicines/ http://whale.to/drugs/how_statin_drugs.html
No statins. He refused them. Pissed his doc off royally
Good, yeah my doc also pissed. Said don’t blame me if you have a heart attack😡. So I mentioned that the only way to know if I had a Cholesterol problem was to do a small particle cholesterol test … which he tried to then talk me out of <grin>.
I had boiling water spilled on my legs back in the days when we wore tall socks. My socks absorbed the boiling water and made sure it completely covered both of my calves and ankles. When I peeled the socks off, my skin came off too. 2nd and 3rd degree burns. The doctor in the ER gave me this cream called Silvadene and it was truly magical. This is the silver bullet for pain from burns. You may be able to get a tele-Doctor to call in a prescription for you. Here's a link to learn more...

Honey is the best thing for burns. Praying Medic has a video on healing nervous system problems: https://prayingmedic.org/2022/01/02/healing-prayer/
I forgot about honey but that is also a miracle healer...so MANY good, effect things to naturally heal burns.
I agree. Any pure honey will do. Also coconut oil is supposed to very effective.
Do some research on biotin. It is great for skin problems and Helps neuropathy. It is a B vitamin.
The best natural healer for surface skin injuries and abrasions is comfrey root or comfrey leaves. Pour boiling water over the root, let it set for a few minutes until cool enough to use. A jelly like substance is formed that is very high in allantoin. Great for all kinds of skin abrasions and burns. Have used it for many years with much success. Good for poison oak also.
I had never heard of this until you mentioned it here. The DE I mean. Just did a little research and am shocked I’ve never heard of it. Do you use it?
Trader Joe has it for a fair price.
Get him one of those Shakti mats I hear they are good for neuropathy and he can use it when he heals
The very best treatment for burns is a French cream called Biafine you have to order it online from France because it’s an Rx here - of course. The French use it for every thing and beauty crème. I used it on clients when I did electrolysis and laser hair removal. I gave a tube to my friend after she had radiation therapy and her breast had basically melted. She was absolutely astonished at how well it worked she raved about it for years and still does. It is almost miraculous how quickly it heals sunburn, it’s like it never happened after 1 to 2 days and if you burn yourself on a hot pan you just apply this and keep it on kinda thick for a few hours and it stops the pain and the next day there is no burn or even a blister! This is the website that I order it from. I realize this won’t help in the immediate but It ships quickly and it’s worth always keeping around. https://www.avibon.com/
Eat organic decarboxylated cannabis. It will help with pain and heal him.
Get a tablet open up greatawakening.win and hand it to him and say "just sit on the couch, and read this while you heal"
Haha! I read it aloud to him!
For healing, A, C, E, zinc, and selenium are essential for repairing soft tissue. This has everything in one capsule...

Do not use anything these people are telling you about oil. I burned my foot once and the first thing I did was grabbed something oil based and added to the burn. I ended up at the hospital and when I got there they had to scrape off every single bit of oil I put on which was painful. They told me never use products on a burn use water and water only. If his feet are bad then you should get to the hospital or doctors office to get something for infection. Stop trying to play doctor before your husband ends up having his feet amputated.
Two things with all due respect. 1. Oil/butter should NEVER be put on an new active burn. 2. I posit some on these forums work in medicine and some maybe law.
Pretty much anything mel Gibson has starred in or directed.
Ozone oil.
Definitely watch “Obama’s America” “Hillary’s America” “2000 Mules” “Zero Dark Thirty” “Blackhawk Down” “Wag the Dog” “The Big Short” “Gladiator” “Office Space” “Fight Club” “Pulp Fiction” “Snatch” “The Big Lebowski” “Tropic Thunder” “Eat, Pray, Love” “Garden State” “Finding Nemo (1 & 2)” (I’ll add more when I think of some)
Life Extension's Protocol page for diabetic neuropathy is worth reading. It includes a number of treatment modalities and supplements that slow or prevent the development of neuropathy (such as Alpha- or R-Lipoic acid) and which can reduce the associated pain.
As for burns, topically applied vitamin E is excellent at stopping the pain of a fresh burn (as when you touch a hot stove accidentally); I usually run the burn under cold water or apply an ice cube for 20 - 30 seconds, dry it off, and then pierce a capsule of vitamin with a knife tip (or use a bottle of vitamin e) and smear the E on the burn. Pain stops almost instantly in my experience and blisters don't form; healing is also accelerated.
