Neither should most drugs. Pharmacies are essentially the middlemen, and I say that as someone that works for one. We just get the drugs shipped to us in huge bottles that we break down into smaller ones.
I can understand the controlled substances to a degree, but there's even an argument to be made there because they'd be safer than street drugs
Occasionally pharmacists do something useful, like spot any drug interactions that could be harmful, but even that is generally done automatically by the computer program they use to fill orders. All of that can easily be done by a doctor and even the patients themselves
If you think you are sick with something common and easily curable, you shouldn't need to deal with all of the red tape, especially when we're talking relatively safe drugs.
If it was Ivermectin or HCQ, it should be cheap. These are generic drugs that have been in mass production for decades. If poor people from the 3rd world can afford them, what reason would they have for being expensive?
I asked my Publix pharmacist when we started hearing about people not being able to get their ivermectin prescriptions filled at pharmacies. The Publix pharmacist said โyes we will fill it, but I would never take itโ. Just said Thank You. Thought to myself โI didnโt ask you about your opinion just if you would fill itโ.
The urgent care place I visited in North Texas won't even prescribe Ivermectin. They even had signs in their lobby. I ended up just getting the horse paste.
Hmm... what about the die in! That skinny kid Hog something he staged the die in at Pubx??? They totally caved into the narrative flavor of the day. They do this every time. Ahem, CONSUME PRODUCT AND GET EXCITED ABOUT NEXT PRODUCT. We here at Pubx stand by issue xyz and are united in this endeavor. Never again will issue xyz be acceptable in our organization. Continue reading script. Blah, blah, blah ,blah...
Not so at one Publix in The Villages FL. My 80 year old Mother was told (by the pharmacist) that if he was on duty, he would not fill her rx for ivermectin. Horse paste is way cheaper and just as effective.
Check and see if you have any local pharmacies or compounding pharmacies who might fill it. Not a guarantee but you've got a better chance than a huge corporate pharmacy
It should not require a prescription. Period.

Central Florida here and my Dr wrote me a script and it was filled from Publix. Not cheap but at least I have it in stock.

$150 per person based on weight. $300 for me and the wife. Not cheap but available and worth it if needed.

I am curious why they would never take it.
"... am curious why they would never take it"
Because corporate media said IVM is not for humans, only mammals (lol)
It must be a corporate decision not backed by the uninformed pharmacist.
If I had to bet money...
They have never worked with livestock or raised animals...so they have no idea.
Not to mention that Publix will also not be making available the vax to children under age of 5.
Texas here - My wife and I got our scripts filled at CVS AND Walgreens.

Always have used them. Glad to know they aren't completely evil.

Theres that one pharmacy in Florida that has been filling and mailing ALL our orders from frontline doctors for the last 2 years too...
Maybe Publix is adverse to lawsuits?
Too bad there are none in my area
I worked for the distribution warehouse in a mamagement position... I absolutely loath this company...
I canโt afford to shop there every week
Just went on-line to see if there are any in my state and there is not:(

Thanks.
This is the way.
I read they are now giving free death jabs to the babies.
The thread is an image of a Tweet literally saying that Publix will not give out the clot shot for kids under 5.
