Neither should most drugs. Pharmacies are essentially the middlemen, and I say that as someone that works for one. We just get the drugs shipped to us in huge bottles that we break down into smaller ones.
I can understand the controlled substances to a degree, but there's even an argument to be made there because they'd be safer than street drugs
Occasionally pharmacists do something useful, like spot any drug interactions that could be harmful, but even that is generally done automatically by the computer program they use to fill orders. All of that can easily be done by a doctor and even the patients themselves
If you think you are sick with something common and easily curable, you shouldn't need to deal with all of the red tape, especially when we're talking relatively safe drugs.
If it was Ivermectin or HCQ, it should be cheap. These are generic drugs that have been in mass production for decades. If poor people from the 3rd world can afford them, what reason would they have for being expensive?

The Publix pharmacist said “yes we will fill it, but I would never take it”. Just said Thank You. Thought to myself “I didn’t ask you about your opinion just if you would fill it”.
The urgent care place I visited in North Texas won't even prescribe Ivermectin. They even had signs in their lobby. I ended up just getting the horse paste.

Not so at one Publix in The Villages FL. My 80 year old Mother was told (by the pharmacist) that if he was on duty, he would not fill her rx for ivermectin. Horse paste is way cheaper and just as effective.
Check and see if you have any local pharmacies or compounding pharmacies who might fill it. Not a guarantee but you've got a better chance than a huge corporate pharmacy

Central Florida here and my Dr wrote me a script and it was filled from Publix. Not cheap but at least I have it in stock.

$150 per person based on weight. $300 for me and the wife. Not cheap but available and worth it if needed.

It must be a corporate decision not backed by the uninformed pharmacist.
If I had to bet money...
They have never worked with livestock or raised animals...so they have no idea.
Not to mention that Publix will also not be making available the vax to children under age of 5.

Theres that one pharmacy in Florida that has been filling and mailing ALL our orders from frontline doctors for the last 2 years too...
Maybe Publix is adverse to lawsuits?
I read they are now giving free death jabs to the babies.
