June should be Constitutional Reading month, break it up into 20 readings.
1 reading every weekday, and a Constitutional Celebration every Friday night to Sunday evening, with a week long celebration leading up the the 4th of July celebrations after it's all over
We should celebrate every month one of the articles of the bill of rights. And teach how it's illegal for politicians to go after guns, religion, speech etc. Ever kid should be able to recite the pre amble and all the articles of the B of R, and know all the basics of the document. Also, we should teach the truth about the last 200 years, the fake banks and slavery, usurpation an assassinations. It all adds up now. Not senseless violence but planned executions of people who got I their way. Games over.
It is a very sad thing with how pathetic part of society is now days. People have been given the gift of vast knowledge for free and available on mobile phones but instead of being productive, these dipshit clowns are on trash apps like tiktok instead of improving themselves.
I like how if there's something I haven't repaired before that I can find many youtube videos on how to do it myself. Some people just waste hours watching useless videos. A lot of these people have very limited knowledge on most things including the constitution.
They watch reality TV shows, sitting on their couches, stuffing their faces with junk food getting fatter and lazier. It is true though that people are addicted to their nearly unlimited entertainment options available now days.
I guess I'm among those the elites dislike since I make use of my time, I don't do drugs, very rarely drink alcohol now days. I don't use social media unless forums like this count as social media now days.
It amazes me how there are so many people, especially women, now days that are over weight. If we based things on the typical average 2,000 calorie diet then people over weight have to take in typically 4,000 or more calories daily for it to really start making them fat but if you check calorie count on foods you will see how much money is required to get those calories.
I've heard that junk food can be packed in calories but I very rarely ever eat any junk food so I wouldn't know. Speaking of phones and TV earlier though, when I'm outside doing yard work, I leave my phone on my desk. I pretty much leave my phone on my desk unless I leave my property to go somewhere.
I've read stories about food processing plants exploding a lot lately, talking about possible food shortages. It's bad to say but maybe a food shortage would be a good thing to force a lot of Americans to adjust their unhealthy habits.
I haven't found a black person yet who has actually read the Emancipation Proclamation. Average people nowadays don't read anything worthwhile. Kids can read the biggest Harry Potter novel, but adults can't seem to read the Bible, which is actually a shorter book.
Maybe the Constitution could be published as a graphic novel.
Several years ago, there was a study that showed that 58% of Americans never read a single book of non-fiction after they finish formal schooling.
Yet, fiction is read so much that there are book clubs to discuss what was read, and people who read those books believe they are the smart ones. Of course, more than half of all fiction sold in America are romance novels -- and only about 3 males have ever read one (lol).
But that was more than 10 years ago. It has to be much worse today.
I would not be surprised if the non-fiction-to-fiction reading rate is what makes people here different from the normies. Simply having an interest in knowing about the world sets one group apart from those who have zero interest in knowing about the world, and only want to be entertained like children.
I used to read a ton of fiction fantasy books until 2020. Then I’ve started getting economic books, the Constitution, Bill of Rights, prepper books, gardening, etc. Trying to learn basic necessary survival skills that my generation (Millenial) has gotten away from.
I haven't found a black person that's read Lincoln's first inaugural speech either. If they had read that, they'd see that Lincoln promised to protect slavery for all-time, not abolish it. The Emancipation Proclamation came years after the war started, and after the Union had lost several key battles to the Confederacy. It was known as "Lincoln's last card" back then.
Remember that No Child Left Behind Bill? We now pass along the majority of our kids who can’t read and write in our inner city public schools! They graduate and can’t read or write now. After over 20 years the Cabal has destroyed our public education. They don’t want you to know the statistics. They fix those numbers too Year after year. So they can’t read the constitution. It’s just what they wanted. Keep them dumb. They like to pretend kids are smarter than 50 years ago....they have dumbed down our future generations and they can’t even critically think.
Because CJ is a separate seat. It is not based on seniority or merit. It's just a different seat from the others. When Roberts is gone, that seat will open up and a new CJ will be nominated.
However, Thomas is now the most senior member. So, in any decision where he is in the majority and Roberts is not, Thomas has the authority to write the decision himself or delegate it to someone else.
Reading the constitution is great and all, but if law enforcement, prosecutors, DAs, and judges all just ignore the constitution, than there isn't much the average American can do.
I like Thomas, but much like Trump, he just doesn't understand the reality he lives in is not the same reality that the average American lives in.
Is he though? Election fraud stands, and we have political prisoners from January 6th subjected to kangaroo courts, antifa and BLM "mostly peaceful", but patriots marching = "terrorists / insurrectionists"
The constitution is only a piece of paper if people in power ignore it
You're not wrong. What irritates me is when people like Thomas or Clarence say this stuff without realizing just how much of an uphill battle this sort of thing can be for everyday Americans. Court cases are time and money sinks, and even winning one (to say nothing about losing one) can majorly impact one's life negatively, far more than it can for someone like Thomas or Trump.
And all of those people probably ignore it because they didn't have it drilled into them when they were in school or were otherwise young. Sure some are likely corrupt, compromised, or just outright evil, and they should be rooted out, but the vast majority are likely just useful idiots/slaves to the current system and society/culture we live in.
We need a generation of people that have read and understood the constitution if any of those positions are going to be filled with patriots ever again. And kids should be saying the pledge of allegiance every day in school again. This is where it all starts and you can't fix the problem by just ignoring it or acting like it's not worth the effort to try to fix for this or that reason.

fully agree
Excellent idea, since the Continental Congress met in June 1776, had debates, and the product of their meeting was written in July.
Dats waysis!
What about the 60% of Californian African-Americans who are functionally illiterate????
Do what the army does, put all instruction into comic book form.

Klaus Schwab says, "All people need are screens and drugs."

and then they wonder why they're all broke!!!

Bet Clarence has read it.
More than once I’ll wager!!
Sadly, I haven't met him. He is exceptional.
Good one! Yep Clarence has read it! Thank you Jesus!

I have a wall of built-in book shelves. One 4-foot section of shelf has novels. All the rest of the wall is non-fiction.
There is a good online course from The Institute on the constitution that teaches about it https://theamericanview.com/
Thomas Sowell.
Investigate. The man is a modern legend.
I'm talking about black people on the street that I've actually met.

This is where they say "OK Boomer."
Because debate is dead. Debate doesn't win shit.
That shit is so cringe. It's like 5 levels of retardation all wrapped up into two words.

Why this guy isn't Chief Justice I'll never know.

In Dobbs, he delegated it to Alito.
Thomas; putting God’s rainbow back into June!!! End homo marriages now CT!!! WooooT!!
Wow, nice flair!
Irs about to get btfo
Hopefully the Dept of Educ is moments after.
God Bless Clarence Thomas ! The man is now in charge! Wonder what happened to the other guy?
https://www.justicethomasmovie.com/
Imagine if Scalia and Thomas were in there together today.
Liberals read all the time. They just don't stop and think.
Comic books don't count.
or just read, that'd also be edifying...
Tell them birth control and abortions come in shots now. The side effects ARE: …
The guy is on an ass kicking rampage. I'll bet the meme warriors are going to be having fun.
Ciller Clarence?

That's the most full of shit comment I've read all morning.

The constitution is only a piece of paper if people in power ignore it
Thanks for the concern trolling. Why don't you head over to patriots.win where you belong?
Is ad hominem the best you can do?
Usually when people have debates we bring up points and counter points
Your comment is 100% opinion. And it's wrong.
If there is a piece of law written and executives simply ignore following it, then doesn't it follow that it's just a piece of paper then?
As someone who read the Constitution outside of his high school curriculum, Thomas is 100% right.
We the People are supposed to be enforcing the Constitution on the government employees.
You do have a point, but we all need to be versed in it and fight legal challenges when the document is being abused by government employees.
If there EVER was a green light from the SCOTUS to the People on this, the recent decisions have been that green light.
Read it. Understand it. Talk about it. And insist that the government employees follow their oath. Sue them if they don't.
Not easy, but THAT is our power, like it or not.
How do you think SCOTUS gets these cases to rule on in the first place?

Yeah, I understand.
It ain't easy.
But then again ... we don't have to cross the Potomac and fight a life-or-death battle.
And all of those people probably ignore it because they didn't have it drilled into them when they were in school or were otherwise young.
