When I was around 7 or 8 I remember being behind First Base dugout…then all the wandering cops left their Sections & were sprinting towards Right Field. Lookin to my right all you could see was hats & fists flying. Cheap seats bussed-in Yankees fans around 6th/7th Inning the brews kicked in & always a melee. I saw that happen over the years at least 10-12 times always when Yankees were playing. And the West Coast always thought they were so tough…not when Yankees & BoSox fans go at it 😂💕👍🏼

It's likely an undercover/plainclothes cop. The white sweatband (I called it an arm band before because I couldn't think of the word) is a common identifier used by plainclothes police officers. It's called color of the day (ie it's not always white). There's a wikipedia article on it actually.
