And here I thought that the Gov't couldn't take away my property, without Due Process. Declaring that someone is somehow guilty of a felony, for heaving a large amount of cash on hand; its like declaring all men rapists, because they carry a penis on them at all times, and all women prostitutes because they are equipped for the job.
Seems like you should be able, at a minimum, be able to both find the money, and evidence of an illegal transaction before taking anything - and then we have that issue for Due Process.
Amendment IV
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Amendment X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
I saw this about a year ago maybe longer. It's a good reminder this shit is widespread. This individual may have eventually gotten his life savings returned to him, but it wasn't easy. This is how I seem to recollect it.
I used to be a narc. We never took money without the presence of drugs and a financial investigation. This shit has gotten out of control.
I took houses and cars from meth traffickers, usually they didn't have much money the way that system works, but the houses and vehicles used to store and move drugs we take.
Had a no dope money car and the guy had the reciept from vegas.. he drove away and I did my report.
The dog was them looking for a Nexus for drugs and the research already has shown us 100 percent of the money supply should be considered contaminated. I have a question? Had that dog been trained on human article searches? If so then that dog could have simply alerted on the article. Dogs find guns, dogs find clothing, anything with human scent and we only train it away from vehicles and its command is different.. Same as they set it up. It all stinks. Receipts should have taken care of that. They had lust for the bust. No good
Fact is you are chattel. You ahve a birth certificate? Drivers license? Marriage license? All CONTRACTS with the corporation. You are theirs. There is a way out
Only way out seems to be to check out from modern society in its entirety, asking a friend you trust to stay on their property while you build everything and anything you need by hand.
I'm a white male in my mid thirties. I've probably been stopped 6 times in traffic, couple accidents, and maybe 3 interactions outside of that. Including one when I drew my handgun in a self-defense situation.
More than half of those interactions, 60% maybe, the officer attempted to violate my rights and even did so on several. I'm talking about pulling me over for a tag light out (surprise, it was working just fine) so they could harass me over the contents of my vehicle. Other times declining their request to search and then them claiming they smell weed, search my car and find nothing. If at any of those times I became stand-offish, it would cause them to escalate the situation. Threats of arrest and further citations, yadda yadda.
I live in a purple county in a red state (FL). This has been my life experience with police. I do not like the Police and I tell my kids not to trust the police. This shit needs to STOP NOW or this is what you're getting.
Exactly. I learned that and basically quit law enforcement. Contracts and agency.
It's a maritime system, maritime law is codified in the Constitution. It's beauty is the freeman can operate it himself with out lawyers. We just don't realize it so we let the law tell us we can not perform acts we could perform if not otherwise contracted.
Cop starts rubbing his hands like a Shylock when he asks about money in the car. And what was that gesture he made just before the dog "activated" on the money?
This shit has to stop.
Thermite should work.

The crap in place to steal money from the American people is astounding.

I'm not sure I need to SQUARE shit to you or anyone. I knew what I knew then and I know what I know now. So fuck off.
Homie should have used that MCMAP on their ass. Hes a war hero
Marine Corps Martial Arts Program - I had to look it up...
"Law enforcement" continuing to prove that they, just like the politicians, see us as property/chattel to be owned and ordered around.
Yet they cry when they get killed.
Back the blue! Cops lies matter.

This is at least several years old. Not new. But yes, it does happen and is wrong.
I'm not surprised. Donuts and dildos are expensive.
So are margarita machines. https://www.theblaze.com/news/2014/10/01/see-some-of-the-outrageous-things-police-bought-with-seized-taxpayer-dollars
Awful. I hope he gets a small fortune. So unfair, so unAmerican.
Hypothesizing if he had said no at any point he would have been arrested and or harassed.

Good news, this man got his money back. https://www.techdirt.com/2021/12/22/dea-gives-former-marine-back-86900-cops-took-him-during-nevada-traffic-stop-caught-body-cam/
True.
That was an inland pirate seizure of goods operating under color of law.
(Consent to) contract makes the law.
This marine learned an expensive lesson in policy enforcement procedure and relinquishing right to refuse contracts with agencies of government.

I'll say this. Sovereign state national.
Do many feel the same as you in law enforcement?
That's the definition of a license.
We only need one (fishing, hunting, driving, marriage, etc.) if the intent for engaging in the act is for commercial purposes.
Commerce binds us to contracts.
Where was this?
Evil.
Cop starts rubbing his hands like a Shylock when he asks about money in the car. And what was that gesture he made just before the dog "activated" on the money?
That was highway robbery, pure and simple.
“Another group of officers arrived, and Stephen gave them permission to search his car. “
