As some of you probably seen yesterday i was talkin about how i found God while in jail for my alcoholism... just wanted to share that i attended my first ever AA meeting tonight.
Glad to know i have a faith based support system both here and in my actual community
I’m going to a faith based recovery program called Celebrate Recovery on Sunday for the first time in over a decade. They host them at churches and have groups all over the country. Best of luck to you
I'll be attending church for the first time this Sunday. There's one right behind where I just moved to last night, like they're literally on the other side of the fence lol so I'm gonna try them...but if it isn't the right fit for me there's several in the area, so I'll keep looking until I find the right one to call a new family.
I also plan on getting baptized
My Gosh thank you for posting this great news ..remember, Jesus doesn’t just fix you he recreates you ..enjoy your new life ..please keep posting, let us know how it’s going ! I pray your legal troubles are over!

https://www.youtube.com/c/MidnightRide/videos If you want live answers, Saturday nights starting at 10:00 pm there's a chat room on YouTube. Friday starting at 6:00 pm there's a chat room you can get to through https://www.fojcradio.com/ David Carrico's wife posts in that chat.
Thanks I'll have to check them out
The true temple to worship in is within our own hearts minds and souls...but, I'm gonna look around my community till I find a church that's right for me
Here's one more thing I would've liked to have known early on, get a King James Bible. It was translated by Puritans, not occultists.
Here's a good 1:50 minute segment to prepare you to look for a church (fellowship is good and right, but don't do the equivalent of paying big money to send your virgin Christian daughter away to university. Don't pay for your own destruction. It's not the 1960s/1860s anymore.)

One way to start looking for better-quality believers. https://www.fojcradio.com/remnant-locations/
They have that program here...very high rate of success. Participants must be willing for it to work. Cant talk someone someone into it or they are appeasing someone else.
Keep up the good work!
As an alcoholic dry for 32 yrs I was never able to find a way to reach out to others (that felt right) until our church started a Celebrate Recovery (CR) a few months ago. Its been a Godsend. I can help others as a volunteer and as a side benefit it helps me as well with some issues. It would have been nice to have this program in my recovery. Can only highly recommend CR.
Congrats to you too! This is wonderful.
I have been to AA meetings with family members... it works. Just find the strength to get to the meetings... good people there, they can help.
These meetings are actually like not even 5 minute drive away from where I just moved to last night so yeah I even told them sure won't be the last they see of me lol
It’s the best thing you’ll ever do. I’ve seen it first hand over many years. Just go to the meetings :)
Yea I plan on it. I was living rural taking care of my disabled grandpa for 12 years, so isolation was a huge factor that led to my problem getting bad as it did. Knowing I have this support system a few minutes away every day is just a piece of God's Armor that I prayed and asked for
God is real.
And that's clearer to see these days than ever before. God Bless the Awakening .. it will be biblical
Ima leave this here for you ❤

Amen.
May God help you. Hang in there. I still carry my sobriety chip.
I'm thinking of turning mine into a necklace
Nice, it ain't easy, but it's worth it. We need you out there
Alot easier than living the life I was
Dancing with the devil is f**n exhausting
But thanks. On my way to being a solider for God ❤
Actually, you ever heard of Struggle Jennings?
Edit: if any of you reading this hasnt heard of Struggle I highly recommend checking this out... hes a huge supporter of Q and the awakening. He's also Waylon Jennings grandson. https://youtu.be/zgBeuxqcmw4
Oh my dear God! You’ve heard of him? Have you heard “God, We Need You Now? Excellent song! I did not know he was Waylon Jennings’ grandson. Thanks for the information! God bless you all!
Heard of him? I been listening to him for over a decade 😆
I just found him last summer.
Oh and the song I linked is that song haha
One day at a time. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. May God bless you.
Congratulations man! 142 days of sobriety myself.
90 meeting in 90 days. You gotta do it.
And fuck all you druggie losers who pop into these threads telling people who struggle with sobriety to try microdosing. Srsly, go fuck your mother.
Hey if microdosing works for them then that's awesome but for me if I unlock that door for anything it just welcomes in the unwanted guests.
Heh.
Didn't work for me.
Back in the late '80s and through the mid '90s, got so so deep into a meth habit that I was working as an enforcer/tax collector/cook's security to pay for it.
Hard kick. Had to go full clean, move to a whole new part of the state and end all past relationships. Start over where no one knew me and I could be careful to stay away from the users so no temptations.
To be honest, it was as hard to quit the violence as it was the drug.
We all walk our own unique path to glory. Glad you got out of your personal hell, fren
Thanks. And back at ya.
Stay strong in The Lord. The rest will follow.
Fren, I think I speak for all of us here when I say, we are soooo proud of you! Keep the Lord by your side and take it one day at a time. God bless, fren!
Oh I'm never letting him go. I may fall along the way as I walk my path but I know he will pick me back up
We all stumble, fren. The trick is to get back up, dust yourself off, and try again with God's help.
One day at a time! God bless you.
Awesome! Baby steps.
Good job!
Congrats to you for taking that first step. Keep God close and don't be afraid to ask him and others for help when you need it. We are here for you, fren!
Good for you. Twelve steps is an effective program.
That’s crazy there’s a state that makes you go to prison for alcoholism. Obviously a state run by libtards. You should move to a better state, fren.
Well I was just in county till my bond was paid and without going into it, I deserved to be there.
I'm in Kansas so it's pretty Red out here actually
Congrats to you! Wishing you the best. One day at a time. With God, you can do anything! Know you have us here cheering you on!
Outstanding.
This song's for you
Never heard of him until now, thanks
I'll return the favor and give you this one. He even mentions Q https://youtu.be/qYJBxlpfgxo
Oh yeah!
Love me the Struggle and Caitlynne.
Thanks.
I've actually been listening to Jelly and Strug since before Strug even went to prison. I think it was like..2009? when I first got into their stuff. It's been beautiful watching them evolve not just as humans and warriors for God but also as artists.
It's all new to me.
I'm old. Still mostly stuck on Zep and Floyd with some Nazareth. You know, senile stuck in the olden days.
But I try to pay attention when good stuff pops up.
I feel ya, I love hiphop it holds a piece of my heart ...but there's alot out there that's mindless and/or void of God.
Try this one out, showed it to my aunt on Easter and she was nearly in tears.
https://youtu.be/vsIudAiM7pY
That was good. Thanks. Got it saved to favs.
Have you heard this one?
Awake O'Sleeper
Can't say I have but I'm digging it so far
Oh and here I got one more for ya. This actually inspired me to make a YouTube playlist called Lord Catch Me If I Fall. I added that one you just sent me to it, infact.
https://youtu.be/qIlNCb0miuw
Congrats. We are happy you are here and will pray for you brother.
So proud! Stay strong!
I'm doing a group coaching program called "The Sober Patriot" right after Labor Day. Small, private groups of under 15 getting to their first benchmark of 30 days sober.
If anyone is interested...

We love you and you are going to make it through this time. There are too many of us praying for you for you to fail. Keep up the good fight!
Praise God from whom all blessings flow.
Here's a shortcut for choosing a church. Ask these two questions
Do you believe in Jesus?
Are you a 501c3 organization?
The answers should be a quick and resounding 1. YES and 2. NO
If not, keep looking. We'll leave the light on for you.
With God, you can do anything. Good job taking back the life you deserve. Keep it up. God bless you Anon.
God bless you brother.
Praise God brother! Keep it up, keep going back, it works if you work it!
Make sure to build a network of sober friends. I'd also recommend checking to see if Celebrating Recovery has meetings near you. It's a Christ based recovery program for any kind of addiction. The one near me starts of with prayer & praise then breaks off into smaller groups based on what recovery you're looking for.
Worth checking out, especially if your higher power is God https://www.celebraterecovery.com/
Good for you! I'm as grateful as I know how to be. Been sober since the Sunday before Thanksgiving in 2001. I still carry my desire chip (24 hr chip). Just take it one day at a time and it will happen. God bless you on your journey.
Be careful. AA groups are quick to turn on you if you back slide.
I had a rough go with them, especially their mantra of telling me that I have no power or control over my actions and ritualizing subservience.
After I failed with them, I found my own way. Looking back years later I discovered that their actual success rate is meh - around 1 in 5. But they portray the failures as completely the fault of those that failed -- despite being unable to control themselves as part of their official tautology, I might bitterly observe.
God will give you the tools to save yourself through Him, brother. He will demand you be honest with yourself to get there though.
If I backslide again I deserve whatever tough love or even hate I receive. Im in some pretty serious legal troubles because of the bottle so I kind of need something strict like that in my life. But, AA was actually just one branch of the tree that came from me asking God to guide me to where I need to be
There's a saying I've heard before, "take what you need from AA and leave the rest behind"
There is that saying, and what it refers to is part two of the program (the fellowship) of AA. In other words, people in AA sometimes will talk a bit of shite. Everybody is in recovery - some are a bit further along than others.
It means you would do well to check with the literature part one of the program (Big Book and other publications like living sober) to see if what they are saying is helpful. Having a sponsor helps with this.
You eventually need to stop seeing your addiction as some sort of insurmountable obstacle. You need to not want to do it anymore. Don’t abstain because of the consequences, abstain because you don’t like it any more.
Good for you!
