Depends on how the towers footers were constructed. Sometimes they drill down to bedrock, sometimes they just drive pilings into loose soil to a certain depth to stabilize the footings. I do not know how it was done, but if pilings, they may have just excavated down below them during the cleanup.
But this photo does look really weird. No scrap/chisel or blast marks. This looks washed and formed by lava or water erosion. I've never seen this picture before.

Anyone whos in their late 20's-early 30's at this point remembers the rebranding from global warming to climate change and then to climate emergency. I remember many years ago when they rolled out a bunch of kids at the UN to make doomsday predictions about climate change.
I'm sure on average over the next few thousand years the climate will warm up somewhat. The earth currently is in one of its deepest ever ice ages. The last 3 million years have been one of the most brutal ice ages the planet has experienced probably since the end Carbiniferous.
In the grand scheme of things geologically a couple million years from now they might well notice that over 50,000 years there were radical changes to the earths climate followed by a missed ice age and radical changes in terms of land use changes, early humans burned large areas of forrest for hunting and primitive agriculture and have made significant changes to land use patterns with farming and grazing - the camel and horse went extinct in the Americas only to return. They'll also notice a lot of the continental mega fauna seemed to go extinct and there will probably be seed and spore evidence for mono crops and large scale damage to top soils in ocean sediments as well as certain chemical deposits and radiological signatures in sediments as well as probably junk made out of stainless steel or titanium and there will be one hell of a layer of calcium carbonate laid down over the next 100,000 years as carbon is recycled into the oceans. Overall though - nothing remarkable in the geological grand scheme.
Probably not as extreme as an event around 55 million years ago called the PETM where earths climate warmed dramatically to the point there were crocs in the arctic ocean only for things to go back to more average almost as quickly.

unless climate change is man-made, it is foolish to try to fight it
for climate change to be man-made, man's activities would need to significantly increase the rate of global warming that has been happening for hundreds (actually thousands) of years
global sea level rise is the best barometer of whether global warming, above the natural increase, is occurring
the rate of global sea level rise has not significantly changed during the past 50 years, therefore, there is no such thing as man-made climate change
the climate has been 3-5 degrees Celsius plus or minus of what it is now - for the last 10,000 years. past about 10K to say 17K years it was 15 degrees Celsius COLDER than now. Their has been a cooling trend for about the last 17 years.
Guess what - Climate Changes. always has.....the Changes coming will happen regardless humans mature - or devolve in regards to being in balance with their environment.
What irks me is the global climate is either warming or cooling, and periods of cooling are way worse than periods of warming. If the Earth experienced a significant cooling, there would be global catastrophe.

The significance is that it would be impossible to build a building on such an irregular surface.
Note that there is no evidence of any kind of foundation or footings that would have been there since the building was built.
They just kind of “melted” into this big blob of rock.
Which, along with “9/11 toasted cars”, strongly suggests that there was some sort of nuclear explosion, or DEW or something.

It was formed by water erosion; frozen water. The bedrock beneath NYC was scoured by the ice sheet as it flowed SE during the last glacial epoch.
But we also had thousands of engineers saying they weren't. Popularity alone is not a real good argument.
