I'm not too far from where the great John Wayne had a ranch in the 40's. He also frequented the area to ride horses.
I need to start looking around out there for property. Here in California the market is coming down but not fast enough.

I can totally relate. Whenever I watch a TV show or movie from times past here in Cali or really anywhere USA, it's depressing.
Like you I am going to start looking around and take some trips to other states. Then research them.
You have to be careful of property taxes and I think like income taxes they completely unconstitutional. Texas especially. In some areas you can pick up a cheap property and then have runaway taxes.
Do you have any idea where you might want to settle down in? Just curious and gathering information.

Well, Chris Wallace doesn't have a current job, if I'm not mistaken, so he can be the "moderator". Chris does blatant, politically-motivated, uber-biased (sic) 'moderating' that only the most soulless beings slithering amongst us wouldn't be ashamed of.
Still, I get the impression that Kari can handle whatever they can throw at her. I'd just hope she has beefed up security at any of her events, but certainly for a debate.
