Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
I miss u/Winsanon daily wins posts. They were the highlight of my mornings last fall! With so much Red October action, maybe we should make a daily community wins post? 🏆🏆🏆 Feels like there's a lot of good news incoming...
Too much people brainwashed in the Philippines. No more mask mandate indoors and outdoors yet many people are paranoid that another surge will happen which will still make them wear it.
That’s sad. Fear is an enemy of our souls.
The O3 Pure uses the natural cleaning powers of O3 or Ozone to clean your laundry more effectively and safely than soap, detergent or older ionic wash units. This technology has been used for years in commercial applications across the U.S. Our O3 Pure Eco units are both CE and RoHS compliant.
Anyone heard of this? If yes, pros & cons.

With the PayPal kerfuffle, I don't use Ebay. Does anyone know of a good and reliable site that sells vinyl records I can use instead?
Thank you!! I like how you seem to relate to every post I put up. ;)
If you have suggestions for similar groups like Weather Report or Pat Metheny Group, I'm all ears!
I LOVE fretless bass. There is nothing like it.
He'd probably be pleased with his Phillies.
We use eBay but just pay with our credit card...never PayPal. Never use Amazon!!
I'm so used to having a PayPal account that I didn't even think to just use my card. I have to wait anyway because someone tried to use my card this morning, but the PIN didn't work. Somone skimmed my card. Ugh!
Listening to a great performance of Verdi's Aida from Covent Garden. Good way to end a tiring day.
So I played one game of Solitaire today with a deck of cards that hadn't been used in awhile.
I decided not to keep score before I began, and I decided to play the version where you go through the deck once, turning up one card at a time.
I won the first game I played--yep, one game--one win. I left the winning cards on the table as a reminder that whatever else happens today, this game was decisively won on one take, an old-fashioned game of Solitaire.
One.
Unity.
Very satisfying when things fall into place.
Absolutely!
put some 80's cheese on your breakfast.
"The Warrior"
Oh, oh, oh
You run, run, runaway
It's your heart that you betray
Feeding on your hungry eyes
I bet you're not so civilized
Well, isn't love primitive?
A wild gift that you wanna give
Break out of captivity
And follow me, stereo jungle child
Love is the kill, your heart's still wild
Shootin' at the walls of heartache
Bang, bang
I am the warrior
Well, I am the warrior
And heart to heart you'll win
If you survive

YES. But definitely not every day, and not only for breakfast.
I like pancakes with strawberry jam on them, powdered sugar, and whip cream! Of course butter as well.
I also like regular pancakes with lots of butter, and maple syrup!
You can use any kind of jam that you like… Cherry, blueberry, etc.… The above recipe is great with the powdered sugar and the Whip cream.
Another great way to celebrate pancake batter, is to make waffles with the waffle maker. Same toppings as above! I just love the waffles that are fresh out of the waffle maker, they’re nice and crispy and fluffy. Simply delicious.
Pancakes for desert.
If my day starts with them it is wrecked!
"Katsu", now THERE is a magic word!
Hell Yes! My grandma made pancakes for us every Saturday morning. I like pecan or blueberry pancakes. When I was pregnant I used molasses instead of syrup. My favorite is buckwheat pancakes I’ve eaten when traveling. I need to find a good recipe because they are healthier. Last weekend I cooked Bob Mills gluten free pancakes. They were the best homemade pancakes I’ve ever had.
Definitely yes! Lemon Ricotta Pancakes! 🍋
Oh man, I never heard of these! Going to look up a recipe now...
Just posted the recipe below...
Thank you!!
You're welcome fren!
Sounds delicious. Do you eat those with syrup like traditional pancakes?
You can! I like to use lots real butter & squeeze a lemon wedge over them! Buttery lemon goodness!
I gotta check it out. I love butter and never touch the fake butter.
My husband wanted a coffee today so we were in Dunkin’ Donuts. I saw a sticker on the display case listing the bagel, with butter (canola oil). At least they didn’t try to lie. I don’t eat or drink that junk. My favorite is “I can’t believe it’s not butter” Because it’s NOT!
Oh my, now there's something i didnt know i needed. Sounds delicious!
They are! So fresh, lemony & moist!! 💛
My grandfather's favorite home made ice cream was Lemon and it was always the first batch we made! So wonderful!
I’ve been making all kinds of homemade ice cream‘s.
Keylime ice cream with graham crackers.
Rocky road with marshmallows and roasted almonds.
Fresh strawberry! The freshest the strawberries the better! If you can find a really good batch of strawberries, buy a whole bunch, purée them, strain the seeds, and then put the purée in the freezer so you can make several batches.
My brother was just visiting here from Japan with his wife, they loved all three.
You had me at Key Lime! Fresh Strawberry! You are only limited by your imagination. Most people don't realize that good cooking isn't hard with fresh ingredients simple food is the best!
Hubby and I went to Provence France on our honeymoon and had lavender and honey ice cream! It was incredible! They sell it in the grocery store.
Yes! The ricotta makes magic in pancakes! Get creative and add ricotta to your favorite pancake...blueberry, strawberry, pecan...you know the thing!
Recipe please! You have now made me very hungry...
Here you are undine:
Lemon Ricotta Pancakes 🍋
1 1/2 C all purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp kosher salt
3/4 C whole milk
1/2 C ricotta
2 large eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Butter for cooking
Juice & Zest of 1 lemon
Powdered sugar, lemon slices for garnish
Syrup of choice
First- combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl
Second- mix all wet ingredients together, adding 1 egg at a time
Next- combine wet & dry ingredients together with a wooden spoon, fold them together barely mixing. This is key to fluffy pancakes. Don't worry about lumps, simply ensure that all dry ingredients are wet.
Melt butter in large nonstick pan on medium heat. When butter becomes foamy, then turn heat down to medium low and ladle in batter. Cook until bubbles form in batter and flip when bottom is light golden. Do not over cook.
This recipe makes 8 medium size servings. Garnish with powdered sugar & lemon slices. Enjoy!
C'MON, MAN!

My husband and i have never done advent calenders before, so this year, we're planning on partaking to add some fun in a different way each day. Anyone into that kind of thing, or have any suggestions?
What holiday traditions is everyone looking forward to this year? The last 3 years have been pretty rough on me health wise, so we're really hoping to make up for lost time.
My mom always made the advent wreath for church. Of course she used live evergreen, no fake plants for her. I enjoyed seeing the new candle lit every week.
Decorating the Christmas tree with wonderful Christmas music playing
Baking Christmas cookies
Driving around our small town looking at Christmas lights with a big mug of hot chocolate & Christmas music
Caroling with another couple...We stop at our friends houses to surprise them
Wrapping gifts while watching Christmas movies with no lights on except the Christmas tree
Picking gifts off of the "Giving tree" to donate for those in our community who are shut in's or nursing homes
Donating to our local Food Bank & Meals on Wheels
Re-telling stories of our parents, grandparents & childhood memories
Sending Christmas cards & writing letters...a lost art
Candlelight Christmas Eve service and we light our candles for the last Carol, "Silent Night" with one verse sung in German...always makes us cry. Beautiful!
Sending warm wishes to our family here for a Meaningful Christmas! 🙏🎄
In Catholic elementary school, we did an Advent thing every year. They were fun.
We also did caroling, and putting on Christmas plays at the local retirement home.
I don't have any helpful suggestions. My artistic ability peaked with Thanksgiving hand-turkeys in second grade. 😕
Edit: maybe this site will help, it has some calendar suggestions about halfway down the page.
