Some people have been held for YEARS on contempt of court charges. No trial. Straight to jail.
I personally don't think he will be in jail that long. I think a higher court will get involved. I have no idea how commissary works. There might be a limit on how much he can have. I think they both will be well taken care of.
WTH? You get commissary cards in County Jails. Anything you have in your pocket is put on a card before you leave holding.

Strange situation. I figured something was up since Marshals "detained" him and not faglowfeds.
I'm 90% sure that is part of the US Marshals' job - they pickup and transport prisoners and go after fugitives. They should transport him to detention.

Up to 180 days they can hold them for contempt is what I read a few days ago.

But even still yet, sometimes you can't just tell the people you will go to jail for legitimately and lawfully question the government... You have to show them.
