Phone don't matter, we need cell providers that allow anonymous sign up and contracts. A different phone company, but still using Verizon to track means it's the same situation. We need different cell providers, not phone providers.
He needs to sit down with Canonical and try to revive their phone OS they were building on Linux. With his gazillion programmers he could knock that out in a year at most. Then partner with (or buy) Freedom Phone to incorporate security and encryption. Hmm - looks like Canonical killed theirs but it was picked up by UBPorts as a community project called Ubuntu Touch.
Someone needs to make that happen. Linux is everywhere, and most people don't even realize it.
