Hoping your Dad's cough clears soon. Try inhaling some eucalyptus oil. Mix a few drops in a bowl of boiling water and inhale the steam. Does wonders for coughs and clearing airways.
He had a cold, but he thinks it's bronchitis now. He's meeting with his doctor soon. Some of them, my family members, had a cold, but they got it over it. My dad was getting over his until it came back.
The priest and his wife at the church I've been going to since I got Sober in July (Baptized in October) suprised me with a present today (I would have been grateful for just a greeting card but they gave me a 100$ gift card. . 😲 ) and an older couple that I see there every week also gave me a present (33 dollars to represent my age, as "they do for their grandchildren" to use their words) and both gifts came with a beautiful card..
I definitely wasn't expecting anything so that was an awesome suprise. As more and more people go off the hinges and turn away from God, I'm so blessed to have turned towards him during the hardest year of my life. It absolutely made the weight much lighter to carry

Well, my house stayed a warm 72 while it was -20 windchill, I can cook anything I want on my woodstove, I have all the lamps candles and batteries anyone would need, my clothes are not new or trendy but they are warm and durable, and, I stay put when there is a storm coming. Sure, a condo with all the conveniences might make an older person feel better, but I will stay right here and drag my bone on bone backside down cellar to add some more hardwood to the stove while you all wait for the infrastructure to save you and turn your heat back on.
