I remember being in Europe when I was in high school and looking at the moon at night and thinking, "That is the same moon I look at AT HOME." It felt like something magical because I knew I was a long long way from home. It made a big impression on me as a young person who was just finding out about life in general.
As I have Asperger's, I've never had friends in real life. But I have hundreds online in dozens of online locations and in physical locations all around the world.
It was curious to think that the sky was the same for everybody, in Eurasia or Eastasia as well as here. And the people under the sky were also very much the same--everywhere, all over the world, hundreds or thousands of millions of people just like this, people ignorant of one another's existence, held apart by walls of hatred and lies, and yet almost exactly the same--people who had never learned to think but were storing up in their hearts and bellies and muscles the power that would one day overturn the world.

Japan also uses tons of SOCIAL PRESSURE to make sure everyone confirms. They FORCE homogenous ways through SHAMING tactics.
