In the past, this kind of comments used to get insanely boosted. Now, they just get put into place, and they keep wondering why they arent getting likes and retweets. Power of the bots!
It's that snarky, sarcastic "wit"they thrived on. Always thought they were so poignant. All liberal elitists do.
Imagine suddenly being called out on your "hilarious" tweet, then realizing you're actually not all that funny, and that nobody actually cares about what you have to say.
When you have the power of the mob behind you, you don't have to actually be witty. You can just throw out whatever generic, oatmeal insult (like this) and "haw! haw! haw!" out come the crows. This is why the left can't meme.

You can think you're funny, but then you tend to cross the threshold where you try to signal your wittiness at every possible juncture of discussion or thought.
This is also why leftist campaigns have all sorts of slogans that they think is witty or funny or thought provoking. They focus group it, try too hard, and inevitably just sound cringe when you scrutinize it even a little bit.

Brianna Wu and some others (Anita Sarkeesian or however it's spelled) remind me of the "good old days" when everybody universally hated "wokeness," back when it was called "SJWism." This type of leftist extremism pretty much only existed substantially on Tumblr, even Twitter and Reddit nearly universally recognized it as the retardation that is was.
It is truly amazing how fast everything shifted. Now the shit they were pushing then is nothing compared to what we're dealing with today, and they've moved the country so far left that what they were pushing then, that everybody thought was retarded, is now the "norm."
Someone is controlling all of this.
The masses are easily swayed, as most are mostly apathetic on this. These people really just want to believe what they think everyone else believes. So they are easy to control, by controlling their perception of the "norm" (e.g. censoring social networking sites), which then becomes self-fulfilling.
The Chinese found their useful idiots after 2016, not to mention botfarms went into overdrive. They were very very worried about Social Media snowballing into a very conservative place. Reddit was key because the biggest conservative voice on the internet (The_Donald) was rapidly growing and interaction was immense. YouTube was filled with Anti-SJW videos and it just so happened that YT changed their TOS and algorithm right around this time as well. Twitter was propped up to be more popular and flooded with bots since it was the defacto "forum of the people." If Trump being elected was a bomb for China/NWO then think of the internet aftermath of 2017-2019 to be constant air raids.
