Good. I work for the federal government. The amount of fraud, waste, and abuse I see everyday at the expense of the tax payer is absolutely disgusting. It's not just one agency, it's all of them. From the DoD down to the DoT and everything in between. Slash the federal workforce by 10 percent for 4 years consecutively and see where we are at, which is an extremely conservative cut overall. Part of the problem is the process to fire a federal employee, especially if they are in a protected class. That needs to change ASAP.
I retired last year from the federal government in DC. The majority of employees are overpaid and lazy. They know it takes an act of congress to get them fired. They abuse every part of the job, including government paid travel. And those few of us good ones ended up doing the work for the rest. It definitely can be slashed. And I agree, it should be made easier to fire employees.
I think that a whole lot could be accomplished without going through a never-ending firing process in the following way. (1) Do not replace anyone who retires or leaves government. (2) Move federal government agencies out of Washington D.C. and see who follows, i.e. move the Department of the Interior to somewhere in the interior, move Homeland Security to El Paso, move the Department of Agriculture to Iowa, move the department of Energy to Texas. (3) Transfer employees from bloated D.C. departments to the new out-of-D.C. departments.
Many of actions and steps began under DJT - USDA required all DC employees to move to their territories and most of them resigned or retired after loads of grumbling.
DJT also took the initial required steps of employee categorization to run operations with a reduced force - RIF Planning - he did that in 2017 - and I believe every agency had to submit those plans, including the Big Swamp DOD.
There is a waiting period involved and it's been over two years so that timeframe has been met, so an "RIF" can be implemented which could lay off/fire over half of the federal workforce!
He made BIG MOVES while he was in office!
Everything is teed up and ready to go.
That article quotes the seething democrats as calling it “war on the federal work force.” Do they really think that statement is going to resonate with…anyone?? That might as well be the greatest slogan to pitch the idea.
Right? That article is published in GovExecutive magazine - a newsletter for federal employees. They are So Biased and entitled, so it's been delicious to watch them gnash their teeth, cry and whine about having to follow actual rules and not get to do whatever they want at our expense!
I say Scrop the whole thing and start over!
Repeal it all back to pre-1781.
I might resonate with career federal drones.. I spent thefirt year or so of my professional career in Federal Job. basedupon what I saw and experienced, I didn't stick around to lock in my Federal Retirement contributions... the bureaucracy and waste was that bad...
I think that that might be just a drop in the bucket of a bloated government. The elected critters that keep lining their own pockets is a majority of the problem.
I remember looking for jobs at the state unemployment office when I was young. I was amazed at all of the positions and pay grades for the state. There were scheduled raises and openings for better positions to climb the ladder stated up front. Once you get in, you’re set. I’ve never seen a state worker in a hurry to get anything done, either, with one exception.
Many states got rid of Civil Service years ago. Nowadays, it's 'executive service' so you can be let go any day of the week with no reason and no recourse. Also, there's no disability coverage unless you pay for it and your pension is self-funded.
Also, there's no advancement or promotional opportunities unless you are politically connected. Directors give jobs to their friends and don't advertise advancement opportunities. Hiring and promotions are not based on merit or skill or achievements.
Bottomline, it's Who you know, not what you know or what you've done. Regular employees never even get a chance to excel.
In many ways, it's worse than private sector because you can't complain when the government itself is so corrupt that they don't follow state or federal rules. They lie all the time. Zero ethics.
I look forward to real change happening across the board.
I remember my grandmother begging me to apply for a government job. Any government job. That was the only thing that was permanent employment in her mind. She was right.
The laziest are always the most secure. It's mind blowing. They are essentially on welfare, with a requirement to sometimes be at work. LMAO. I'm sure we see the same type people, brother.
They are always the most politically connected too. I honestly wonder how many of them are freemasons or married to a mason. There is some sort of backdoor network that promotes slacker staff over great workers, but I can't quite identify it.
Always the case everywhere. Even in smaller private companies - I can't fire my friend, drinking buddy, the "other / booty call" person, any of the protected class, etc.
Yup! I don’t want you to lose your job, fren, but dang, the bloat of federal agencies is astounding! BTW, would your username be related to being a fan of any particular sports team by chance? 😬
I've obtained a very specific skill set that makes firing me pretty difficult, but not saying it couldn't happen. Everyone I know is insanely overpaid for their work, everyone, including myself. And you would be correct! A specific college in the south!
LSU or Auburn? I’m gonna guess LSU since you have a 19 after your name and every LSU fan knows that’s the best football season to ever happen in college fb history. Also, Auburn has like 10 mascots and for some reason seem to go with War Eagle over Tigers. 🙄🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ No offense if you’re a Tiger of the Auburn variety but it IS a little ridiculous. 😂 If it’s LSU I just have two words for you...Geaux Tigers! 🙌🏻💜💛☺️
And red tape, waiting on others to do some task, change management BS, "new" regulations or having to fix some morons work who didn't know how the real world operates.
Its a shame there are so many bad apples and so few good. We have about 95% too much federal government. Elon Musk cleaned out Twitter of dead weight, removed most of the pedophile accounts, and made a lot of updates. A good start on what we need at Federal.
I think Sessions was quarterback on this. I like to think that he was. Someone sure was a Grand Master Strategist to figure out how to take this monster down methodically over time to prevent human loss of life and misery.
You know this has been attempted many times by many good people trying to do the right thing for their Fellow humans, but individually, they get murdered, their loved ones killed, a city burns, endless wars....
Someone, maybe many people, thought out and wargamed out this strategy.
Not everyone will make it to the end People have died and more will die, but it is better than every other alternative and we are committed.
Where We Go One, We Go All.
Thank you, President Trump and all the members of Q Team and all the Great Americans who have given everything they can to save humanity.
It is the Last Stand for Freedom.
Truly amazing. As more of this unfolds over time, it's jaw-dropping just how bad the beast infestation is. No quick fixes here. As I watch this plan unfold I'm in awe at the brilliance of it. I agree with all you've said here and pray for Trump and all good people both here and worldwide. I just hope I live long enough to be part of a rebuilding phase because there's going to be a mountain of work to do after the beasts are eradicated.
DJT set all this up in early 2017 a Reduction in Force (RIF) -
End the FED means more than just the federal reserve. It means ending the Unelected Bureaucratic Administrative State that we call the 'federal government'
The Holman rule could make for some great leverage dismantling the Optimus- subprime funding boondoggle.. imagine knocking out fed workers every-time they try and fund foreign aid, It would really highlight how congress is choosing other countries over America!!!
Was recently speaking with a retired IRS agent, will not name the city, but it’s horrible to live in. His comment was, agents sit around not answering phones, he handled over 100 cases last year, personally. Other agents in his office only handled a hand full, he was pissed. He’s glad he out, yet they are intending on hiring 87,000 new agents to collect more in taxes.
Yep - the 'politically connected' do nothing and then honest do ALL of the work and get all the blame for everything while the connected ones take every promotion, every accolade, and collecting the fattest paychecks while literally DOING NOTHING. It happens at the State level too.

Good plenty of jobs out here coding.
Dump these shovel ready obama jobs
This is a sensible thing to do. Add the 10% slash of the workforce and we’d be righting then ship in twice the time.
I think that that might be just a drop in the bucket of a bloated government. The elected critters that keep lining their own pockets is a majority of the problem.

Excellent ideas!! Spread them all out so backdoor deals aren’t easily hidden. And place them in more accessible areas of the country. 🙌🙌
Same. Unfortunately what gets cut are the actual productive employees instead of the pounds of dead weight holding down the office chairs.
The laziest are always the most secure. It's mind blowing. They are essentially on welfare, with a requirement to sometimes be at work. LMAO. I'm sure we see the same type people, brother.

Dissolve IRS and watch the federal government collapse
They should be the first to go.
" Federal Workforce " just makes me think about the inefficiency of the bureaucracy

Let's ask Elon to buy the Federal Government next, lol. He'd probably just ask, as before, "How much is it?"
I LOVE THIS IDEA!
Brief history.

Sounds like Twitter before Elon.
It could not happen to a nicer group of karens.
Cutting the DS off one limb at a time? Sounds good to me...
Do it.
good!! the gubmint needs to be trimmed to the tune of 90-95%.... we the people can survive just fine without MOST of the current bloated government!
