Believe it or not, I used to play with these things (smaller than the ones in the photo and less lethal) with other kids when I went to elementary school overseas, they made good pranks and for us stupid kids, it was funny watching other kids' reactions when one exploded near them.
Until we heard about one kid who had a bunch of them in his pants pocket and they exploded while he was running. Burned his crotch and damaged his dick and balls. We never played with them petal bombs again and the sale of them was soon banned.

Anyone mention yet the recent surrender of a Ukranian tank - the conscripted U soldiers were in a welded-shut tank. I saw the video of the Russian soldiers prying the top off and the U soldiers coming out. I can't find the video now.
Just horrific. There has been horrifying incidences by SBU (Zelensky body guards) to innocent Ukraine people. There are floods of videos coming in now of men being grabbed off the streets and sent straight to the front line. I would imagine that those either wanting to desert or ‘troublemakers’ suffer a similar fate. I’ve seen lots of videos of surrendering Ukraine fighters and while the first contact is a bit rough - I guess making sure then don’t have a grenade etc. on them, they are given water and first aid. They are then transported to a detention centre, processed and given a meal and a warm bed and a roof over their heads. Most likely they will see their families again, but not until after the war and they are safer in Russia than nicking out for some groceries and getting nabbed by the Zelensky goons.
