There's a meme that's gone around about kids in various different generations/decades. Every one has confused kids... you're literally going thru massive changes in your body then.
The problem then and now is, nothing we did when we were kids outwardly affected us for life. Cutting off body parts is like locking someone up in prison for life because they'll never be able to get those parts back. Ever.
