Apparently, Florida is outraged. Someone posted a comment in the wild pointing out the real possibility many will disable alerts when they do this early morning testing BS, thus reducing effectiveness. That seemed like a good point.
If you are getting it through your phone, turn the freaking phone off. Turning your phone off because of EAS is the least of the reasons you should do this. I turn off phone and my router at night. 24/7 radiation bleeding into your head isnt good for you.
If you need to contact me at night for an emergency use my landline. Thats why I have it.
I just turned off mine. Only had extreme alerts on because, you know, that kind of makes sense. Until some bozo decided that "THIS IS A TEST", at 4.45 am.
In FL as well and hit both my wife's and me phones. Saw it was just a test and ranted for a few minutes. Startled the heck out of us. Who ever did that is freaking crazy. What an ass.
In FL, usually see alerts on the TV and not the phones but this one said 'extreme' and was not on the tv, but was on our phone and tablet. Interesting.
I’ve been watching Derek Johnson’s Twitter account (@rattletrap1776) after the article about COG and everything he’s figured out. He saw 2 of the planes up together which are used in emergency (so tired that brain isn’t working) and with everything else going on, said we must be getting close to EAS. Then BAM!
I’ve always thought the only way to wake normies up and have them care about anything is if it affected their lives directly and was something as big as covid. Other than a financial collapse, in the times we are living today the only viable thing I would think that it could be was electronic/internet shutdown. A lot of people would be so infuriated if they couldn’t depict a fake life they are trying to portray, or if they couldn’t get something to their house in two days with a click of a button
Same here. EAS went off on my daughter’s phone, which was right next to me. But not one mine. WTH? I jumped out of bed, adrenaline pumping. Cant find anything on the web about it.
Yes, my heart is still beating, thank the Lord. Another day above ground is a great day.
And this EAS meant nothing. Just a test. Fortunately I slept through it. Crappy timing though for sure, considering so many people got robbed of their best hour of sleep.
We had a scheduled robocall for 10: 00am on a campaign for our candidate.
It was put in the queue of a company you hire to do this. They were not for our candidate and sent the call out at 4:00 a.m.. To think a business would do this!
It’s taken a long time to love being in FL. I grew up in Vermont and it is so flat and just not as pretty. But it has unique beauty in its state parks and especially the springs, and so I find more places I want to see here as I get older. The beaches are the best part, definitely. But we are an hour away and it turns into a whole day affair by the time you get home and wash the salt off everything, including the car you drove o to the beach. So we don’t go as often as we should…
Yea. I thought that was odd. My wifes phone went off, I was just laying there when It happened. Mine was blocked. I saw it after I got up. I assumed it was an Amber Alert or something (it wasn't)? Usually I hear them mid day and usually on the radio while driving. Odd for sure.
That is an early breakfast! We were up til 1:00 and had to get up early to go in to our respective offices. We’re remote normally and can roll out of bed at 8:30 if we need to sleep in. Not a fun day so far. Used to waking up naturally when I’ve slept enough…
The FCC requires broadcasters to air weekly tests at random times. Monthly tests like this are scheduled by state-run broadcasting associations. https://www.fab.org/eas-test-schedule/
EAS happens in the early morning often. You never see it in Primetime. Id expect any Patriot activation of the EAS like we hope and expect to be done between 6 and 11 pm.
https://www.fox13news.com/news/why-did-floridians-get-an-emergency-test-alert-early-thursday-morning
This seems to explain what happened
“ Florida contracts with a company called Everbridge to provide the technical coding and instructions required to push out emergency alerts. Everbridge sent the wrong technical specifications for this alert – which ultimately pushed the alert over the Wireless Emergency Alert system (cellphones).”
It was meant for television, not cell phones.

I do not have landline.
Wait, that means the pedoResident can wake me up at 4.45 am because he misplaced his diaper?
I just turned off mine. Only had extreme alerts on because, you know, that kind of makes sense. Until some bozo decided that "THIS IS A TEST", at 4.45 am.
Not enough to make any difference
I got it too in florida with a non floridan number and a phone with no service connected to it
bit rude to do a test like that so early in the morning, it definitely woke up a lot of people
Woke up a lot of ppl you say? 🤔
Yep, just not in any constructive way
Probably a harmful one.
Correct. They did it on purpose for all Floridians.
In FL as well and hit both my wife's and me phones. Saw it was just a test and ranted for a few minutes. Startled the heck out of us. Who ever did that is freaking crazy. What an ass.

Supposedly this test was to be TV only. I guess the "all cell phone" box was checked as well.
Um,it was sent on 4/20. => DT!
4:45
45th President Trump.
This movie is spicy.

UK are supposedly doing a test emergency alert on Sunday. I'm sure it's just a coincidence.
I wanna thank you for posting, some of us are completely unplugged from the broadcasts unless we look for them.
I slept like a baby through it.
Extreme emergency alert. Yeah okay.
The real emergency is that we are already in the Storm (economic + plandemic).
Now add electronic…

Yep, such good timing. WTAF!

its trending on twitter https://twitter.com/search?q=%23emergencyalert&src=trend_click&vertical=trends
Oh wait.. it looks like it might have been scheduled: https://www.fab.org/eas-test-schedule/
Why test it at 4:45am?! That’s ridiculous.
45 = President Trump.
OK so do it at 17:45 or Q:TRUMP
That would be a good time for a second test this afternoon!
I’m in Florida but didn’t get it. Does anyone know how to check an iPhone to make sure I have alerts activated?
Settings, Notifications, scroll to bottom, Government Alerts.
On iPhone too, does this fall under “test alerts”? If so, I have that deactivated, so that makes sense why I didn’t receive it.
Thank you! I had test alerts unselected.
Yes, my heart is still beating, thank the Lord. Another day above ground is a great day.

Yes, indeed pissed a lot of people off.
Same. Scared the shit out of me.
Yep. Seminole

I love old Florida places. Old architecture, towns. The new development is awful!
4:45 - For 45! Florida conformation got it here too.5:5!
Yesterday we had an Amber alert. I almost shit my pants.
That's a dumb time.
I used to get Amber alerts constantly. But for the couple years? Nothing.
Everything is turned on in my phone.

Yup! Confirm early a.m. wakeup.
We must be getting close to the Real Thing!
I was cooking breakfast... and thought, wow that is gonna piss a lot of people off. But, I get pissed at the ones that go off after 8pm, lol.

Except FL Dept has already apologized and said it was done in error.
Yes, they woke me up. I was thinking it was child kidnapped alert, but then i noticed was the Emergency alert test. Couldn’t go back to sleep.
Me too

EAS test in UK at 11am Sunday, St GEORGE's day.
