It was a week long process to get them verified through an appeal. You can miss out on good talent this way. Not to mention all the time we had to spend on the phone, not getting any work done.
Then step 2 is use it on us. This will be used against us along with digital currency. The first and second amendments are being eroded at record pace.
There are at least two big problems with this idea. A lot of our economy (e.g. construction, landscaping) needs commodity labor and there is currently no legal way to get that type of labor into the country (hello Dave at X22!). You can't just go to a "port-of-entry" and apply for a construction job. The UAE for example has a very well-structured way to deal with that, but the US doesn't. That is something Trump should have fixed but didn't. Also, we need a way to kick failed citizens out. A lot of US-born commodity labor is lazy and stupid.
Some would self deport. Others would become drug dealers or other kinds of criminals. Others would become permanent dependents. There are tons of opportunities to get money food and housing for unemployed people. They'd still get free medical care, free education for themselves or their children. I'm not opposed to e-verify but its not a complete solution. I mean would you rather be unemployed in the USA or unemployed in Ghana?

They should be assigned to a certain locale of the country and need to check in via computer fingerprint weekly at a police station, library or county building. If the check in is missed even once in 6 months at their appointed place, they are subject to deportation. They must appear in person monthly for limited food coupons. No free housing, they must have a sponsor who will help with housing them. After 2 months they must have a written promise of a job by a legitimate company which participates in e-verify. No job offer in 2 months=deportation. Senior law students in all colleges, under supervision of a judge will hear asylum requests, as a prescreen. Those who appear to qualify will be given an appointment with the judge. Those who don’t qualify, will be taken into custody and sent to a holding station for deportation within 24 hours to their home country declared at entry.
It wasn’t them in 2020, but the precedent has been set. Are you not white and not getting what you think you’re entitled to? Then you can burn the country down and get rewarded for it.
