Not bipartisan... it was Republicans and independents who may or may not vote for Trump in the primary. Not a MAGA audience or one with a bunch of liberals, an apparently legit GOP primary voting audience.

Why would he want to get yelled at by a bunch of crazies versus answering substantive questions from actual voters? CNN pretty much had to accede to his request, or else he would have told them to go pound sand.

They clearly announced these were likely GOP primary voters in New Hampshire. A pretty friendly audience but one willing to consider other republicans.
