HOW MUCH MORE CAN OUR POOR AND NEEDY PEOPLE TAKE? That is the question. There are POOR people out there who have jobs but do NOT get paid enough to survive on. What about these people. God bless them all.
Yes. I was one of those with a (once) good man who became an alcoholic thus causing me to have to work and pay the bills with 2 kids to raise. It was hard making ends meet, but I always kept the bills paid, clothes on my kids backs, food on the table and birthdays and holidays. Then when they got to Middle School the good Lord blessed me with a good paying job in automotives. I went from bringing home about $180 a week after taxes to about $600 a week after taxes on my first check. I sat in my car and literally looked at that check and cried. I have never forgotten where I came from and neither have my kids. Always think of those who are less fortunate. God bless you for being that kind of a person too.
Awesome post Mary911. Once I stopped drinking and doing drugs, I learned that Gratitude is the key to happiness. Even with a world turned upside down, I can still be thankful for today, my family and the Almighty. Thank you for the reminder
You're welcome. No one is perfect my friend. Not even me. I once drank like a fish and smoked cigarettes like there was no tomorrow. I drank after too many years of watching my husband and his friends while sitting there drinking coffee all the time. So I decided 'If you can't beat 'em; join 'em.' BIG MISTAKE! Kids were much older ; high school and I managed to work and pay bills but I always stopped on Fridays to get my beer. Miller High Life. Finally one day the Lord did it without my really knowing, but I came in, popped the top of one, took a swig, and it wasn't to my liking. Out of my mouth came the words, "I don't want this." Without knowing, God took that urge/craving from me and I haven't drank a beer or anything since. That was April 10, 2014. On September 16, 2016 I quit smoking. And I haven't looked back since. The Lord will help you and make you the person he wants you to be. God bless.
You are so right. And like your life below some of them will make out okay, others won't but I think the Democrats want it that way so they can keep people on the dole and grow our government bigger. It does seem, though, that no matter how big the government grows, the politicians seem to get most of the money and the people stay on the poor side.
I do believe they are trying to take everything we have and make us all poor while they have all the money ever made.
Good for you getting a good job and raising your family, and it was great for your family.
We have spent decades putting off the inevitable... a failure to meet our national obligations and a resulting default on the national debt. If we don't declare a default now, it will only continue to balloon larger and larger, and the end is definitely coming.
Just default, already -- repudiate our debt, close the Fed, shutter our useless and weaponized government agencies -- and let's get on with rebuilding our nation's economy.
While I admire your fealty to the Constitution, our government doesn't seem to regard it too highly. With all that's gone on with our illegitimate government over the past few years, do you really think most of [them] actually care about the legality of their actions?
So I'll say it again, DEFAULT now and let's rebuild our nation and economy.
What it actually says is interesting in several ways:
The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any state shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.
I could argue that much of our accrued debt isnt and wasnt legally authorized. Authorization by criminals who stole their elections and mostly for their own benefit, isnt legal. The debt of CORPORATION UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, isnt a debt obligation of the sovereign citizens of this country no matter how they try and fool us with Admiralty Law. I think some of the debt since the Civil War could be challenged, much of it since 1913 and most of it since we cast aside the gold standard and went full debt slavery, fiat currency.
1 penny should not leave our country until every legal citizen... man woman or child has a real home food medical needs are taken care of. Lock down borders. We have every resource needed in our own country. Let the rest of the world take care of themselves for a change.
The only thing "without pretense" does is show people what is really happening. It's a win, not a loss.
We The People must reject their system and build our own (or appear to build our own). It is the only path to victory. We must make the decision for ourselves. A bloodless revolution of We The People.
The US still gives China financial aid every year…fucking CHINA…the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard…our taxes going to other countries before our own people and infrastructure is mind blowing…the billions to “Ukraine” is fucking stupid…
I think it’s also being used as a distraction and delay tactic. Remember, it was all, “Yellen says we only have until June 1st!!” Then, miraculously, it became, “Yellen says it’s June 5th now!!!”
Which makes me think we actually do have enough assets to pay our debts, and that the Fed is just doing what the Fed always does best—toying with the populace and the markets through fear porn.
If the Senate does not pass, we have got to believe the "White Hats" have had enough time to come up with a contingency plan. We are tittering at the apex of the roller coaster. It is going to be one hell of a ride on the way down, only to be saved around a sharp bend in the end.
This is correct. I emailed my rep before the house vote and told him I expected him to vote NO. Then I guilted him by saying Louie Gohmert would have voted NO, and if he does not he will never get another vote from me. (yes Moran replaced Gohmert last cycle when Louie ran for Texas AG and lost).
I was pleasantly surprised he voted NO. We may have another keeper here in E Texas.
hey, you brought up something interesting here in Texas...now that AG Paxton is under fire, removed from AG office, even temporarily, for whatever reason is being used, wonder if Louie Gohmert can be appointed in by Gov Abbott? Love Louie!
Abbott already appointed someone. Frankly I figured he would RINO out and appoint George P Bush, and I was hoping for Louie, but no. Former SoS John Scott.
HOW MUCH MORE CAN OUR POOR AND NEEDY PEOPLE TAKE? That is the question. There are POOR people out there who have jobs but do NOT get paid enough to survive on. What about these people. God bless them all.
This. Most of us remember what it's like living paycheck to paycheck with children to feed. So, amen to this.

Now that's a great story to start the day with. Thank you.
Thank you. If the Lord did it for me; he can do it for anyone. God bless.
Good for you. This is how real Americans do it.
Thank you.
God blessed you with strength and resilience. He continues to show you His love.
Thank you.

Thank you. It was well worth every effort I put into it.

They CANNOT default -- at least, not lawfully.
The 14th Amendment requires a payment of legally-authorized debt. It is the ONLY thing that is REQUIRED to be paid from the federal budget.
So, the debt must be paid FIRST, then whatever is left over would go to defense, social programs, corporate welfare, whatever.
While I admire your fealty to the Constitution, our government doesn't seem to regard it too highly. With all that's gone on with our illegitimate government over the past few years, do you really think most of [them] actually care about the legality of their actions?

^ This.

What about the "Odious Debt" legal precedent?
I could argue that much of our accrued debt isnt and wasnt legally authorized. Authorization by criminals who stole their elections and mostly for their own benefit, isnt legal. There you go thinking again with common sense.
It's fairly uncommon these days.
1 penny should not leave our country until every legal citizen... man woman or child has a real home food medical needs are taken care of. Lock down borders. We have every resource needed in our own country. Let the rest of the world take care of themselves for a change.
People seem to be missing a big point:
There is NO MORE DEBT CEILING. IT IS NOW UNLIMITED.
Sure, they CLAIM it is "termporary" for only 2 years -- just beyond the 2024 election (how convenient).
But that new Congress in 2025 will walk in with NO DEBT CEILING.
If MAGA does not take over Congress, it is even more unlimited spending (same as before, but now without the pretense).
The only thing "without pretense" does is show people what is really happening. It's a win, not a loss.
We The People must reject their system and build our own (or appear to build our own). It is the only path to victory. We must make the decision for ourselves. A bloodless revolution of We The People.
Well that's Modern Economic Inculcation Theory for ya, debt is better than equity. Can we put that to a vote amongst our pensioners?
For sure, we have seen many times how they turn temporary into permanent.
The US still gives China financial aid every year…fucking CHINA…the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard…our taxes going to other countries before our own people and infrastructure is mind blowing…the billions to “Ukraine” is fucking stupid…
No problem with giving a big "yes" on this one.
Any chance the senate doesn't pass it?
Two chances, slim and none. BTW: Slim is out of town
That five days works both ways. Personally, I don't think the Senate will pass it, but I am but a mere vocal spectator.
No faith in Senate, but think we are so close that the dash for pistols had success and now stand ready for the cowards way out.
Is it really a showdown?
I think it’s also being used as a distraction and delay tactic. Remember, it was all, “Yellen says we only have until June 1st!!” Then, miraculously, it became, “Yellen says it’s June 5th now!!!”

The Senate approval puts in another dip.
The only way up is through.
Time for us to take time away. This extension of the status quo only continues the chaos until it does inevitably fail.
Prep while time has been extended.
Are things converging to D Day? June 6th?
