The "Space" Shuttle was a Lego that supposedly did Mach 17 or something crazy but I don't recall it ever making a sonic boom at all. Seems like that blunt shape and unbelievable speed would really make a big boom. It is possible, the authorities are lying again. Sonic boom is the easiest explanation and why could be some maverick hit the gas.
