OK seriously, though, it doesn't say "will wipe out all of humanity in the next five years." It says "unless we stop in the next five years." Since we didn't stop in the five years specified, climate change will wipe out all of humanity someday, perhaps when the sun goes nova in about 3 billion years.
The sun will go micro-nova by 2046. The coming catastrophe is cyclical. Those in charge are aware. It is why Kerry went to Antarctica.

Someone can't read... The quote doesn't say that humanity would be wiped out in five years, it says that humanity would be wiped out if we don't stop using fossil fuels over those five years. The wipe out could come later.. five years is just some tipping point.

If this is the quality of the "top scientists" they are all listening to, we can now conclude that the theory of "Climate Change" is a total joke.
To be fair, that isn’t saying humanity would end in 5 years. It’s saying climate change could end humanity if we didn’t stop using fossil fuels over the next 5 years.
EPA put out a report in 1984 that sea level rise would be at a minimum 1 foot higher in 30 years, and they actually thought it would be about 2 feet higher. It continued to rise at the global rate of 2-3mm/yr (about 3 1/2 inches in 30 years). The report is now buried. (Titus, 1984) What is funny is that the lead author of the report was an economist, I believe (definitely not a scientist).
