The rainbow wasn't a gay symbol so much when this was painted. Notice a vertical line over War's sword arm. The colors of the rainbow were already fading up to that part and then they disappear into shades of gray, as War takes the color from God's promise.
In the second half, War has been killed and is a crumpled heap under a bunch of happy children.
This is one of two mural sets by the same artist. The other one is Harmony with nature and is Nature good, people bad theme.
The second painting looks better at first glance, but still has creepy details.
As some kind of art message, this pair is better imo than the other one, which is a corny green activist one.
