Harvard educated and was good at people skills. But, he was "the smartest guy in the room".

I'm interested in the content of character, and the ability of someone to do the job. Where they went to school doesn't matter much. I don't have anything against an ivy league degree per se, but rather I dislike the type of individual(and potential crew member) they tend to attract.
Some ivy league graduates seem to THINK it matters, especially regarding their salary. But if you have two job candidates that are equally qualified, are you going to hire the one who will fit in well and not destroy morale, or will you hire the one that will complain he deserves three times as much as everyone else because of his prestigious education?

Ivy League now equals costly diploma mills. Years ago they made fun of online education as substandard and now its a growing industry where you can get a quality education without the affirmative action component. Tuition is reasonable and as long as you can pass all your examinations and have unquestionable knowledge of the subject matter to earn your college degree that's all that really matters when you choose a career. Deep Staters have usually been recruited from these so-called Ivy League institutions.
