I'm not saying you are right or wrong on Jim. Just remember this is coming from Axios - a very liberal organization founded by people from the Washington Post and Politico.
The article doesn't name the supposed 4 reps that claimed Jim will bring funding forward for a vote. It tried to obfuscate by bringing up Gaetz and MTG. They based the article on 4 unnamed sources - the same thing WaPo and Politico are famous for doing. Until I hear names or see him bring a vote forward I will take anything Axios says with a grain of salt.
What am I missing? Israel has arguably the most sophisticated, and well equipped, military in the world, and already is able to meet all their military needs. Why would significant funding be needed at this time? Moving into Gaza is not a major drain on their military. Have any of the talking heads discussed this?
Yes, and that's why I am asking if any of the talking heads, including "conservatives", have discussed this? (or perhaps, even they aren't allowed to question anything Israel does)
But now that Trump merged the Fed into the treasury this is their ONLY source of the funds they need to keep the cabal running. I read somewhere that Soros stopped funding NGO's & crap
I think that’s exactly the case. There have been decades of uniting the US with Israel and few understand why or could explain it. The vast majority of conservatives and Christians support Israel because … well … we support Israel. Saying you think there is something else going on here and even slightly disagreeing with full on support for Israel is met with calling you a Hamas sympathizer. Maybe JJ is feeling the same pressure.
The truth is - none of us know. All of the media has their own agendas and the left wants as much chaos as possible to either get one of their uni-party picks or Jeffries as speaker. They will say anything to get that result. All we can do is draw on our experience and make a choice.
I wanted Jim Jordan from the start because of all those times watching him on committees. Could I be wrong - sure. Gowdy talked a good talk - until he didn't. I knew however I didn't want McCarthy and that turned out to be correct. The only people I think would do better are Trump and Gaetz. Trump ain't running no matter how much we want him to - he has more important things to do. Gaetz wouldn't get 50 votes. I guess we will see what happens.
Gentleman and ladies. I don’t want a rationalization so I want to put this out there. If we get Jordan in dismantling is that worth paying for? I mean we could get some shithead in there that gives them the money anyway and we get nothing or we get Jordan in there like a wrecking ball but giving some aid?
I understand why we are always skeptical of our politicians and quick to think we have another sellout. But, as time goes by, I believe more strongly Nothing Can Stop What Is Coming.
When I watch President Trump keep plowing ahead in spite of the all out lawfare being waged against him, I know NCSWIC. When I see the polls showing him surging, not only against the RINOS in the primary, but also against Biden, I know NCSWIC.
I’m not saying I know exactly what role Jim Jordan and the Freedom Caucus have in the plan, but we’ve been told they are playing a role. I’m feeling very calm and hopeful about him being Speaker. He might not do exactly what I want to see, but I also know NCSWIC.
And, if I’m reading 2931 correctly, the creation of the Freedom Caucus, played a role in convincing President Trump to run.
Jordan has always been great for a sound bite. His rhetoric is always spot on.
But I'm genuinely surprised how many relatively smart conservatives I see on social media whose hearts are all aflutter about JJ getting the Speakership.
Jordan talks a great game, but I've seen him do very little over the years.
We need to start pointing out the obvious, US has the highest debt of any country. We are in no position to give money away. We need a charity to receive money.
It's like that Seinfeld episode where his nana is giving money and his uncle Leo freaks out. "She's on a very fixed income!"
Someone posted a video interview yesterday featuring Cynthia McKinney who explained that there is/was a pledge of support to Israel that every member of Congress signs in order to receive money. Not signing = removal from congress in one way or another. She went on to say that the pledge was later replaced by one's own written paragraph pledge to supporting Israel. Certainly would explain some things...

But remember, we are supposed to just vote and support just because he's a Republican.
It's turning out I am once again correct about Jordan, neato.

This would mean more if he hadn't talked about funding them himself.

Because that's how money laundering works.
Yes, and that's why I am asking if any of the talking heads, including "conservatives", have discussed this? (or perhaps, even they aren't allowed to question anything Israel does)
I'm guessing it's verboten.
Actually, probably not verboten. Probably have a few institutions that always get the money. Some military, some "charitable."

At least this way we get something for our money.
Am I wrong on this?
There is no proof that he'd be a "wrecking ball".
Agree. The only wrecking ball I see is Matt Gaetz.
Correct. Compromise is always required to move things in DC

Axios is on par with Wikipedia: trust at your own risk. Could be true, could be not, or a mix depending. Not consistently reliable.
For instance, who said this? Just some random no faced Republican? Got names? Anything? No.
Does this discount the possibility of being correct? No.
More questions than answers from Axios, as usual.

I've been saying this for years.
