Not sure if you read the decoding symbols blog or not, but he recently did a comms breakdown of Bambi as a marker for WW1. The forest fire representing the war, the shot fired representing the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, etc. Really disgusting how these wars have been planned and schemed for so long, with history deliberately misdirecting as if they were organic.
Also ties it into Babe Ruth, aka the Bambino, being similarly used in the US. And an English-written serial called Bambi with similar comms, written around the same time.
Felix Salter wrote a sequel to Bambi, which seems to discuss the aftermath of WW1 using next-generation deer family as symbols of countries.
