It’s a non-braggadocious way of saying I’m wealthy enough that food, gas, etc. prices don’t have a significant effect on my bottom line. And I do have a big garden.
I just freaking learned the local public government indoctrination center gives free breakfast and lunch to all the kids. I want to go get my free food that I'm paying for. We homeschool.
That’s from about 1981 when Reagan was pilloried in the press for suggesting Ketchup is a vegetable. It’s tomatoes.
They’re not a vegetable they’re berries.
Which is why PDJT turned the sub into the path of the torpedo before it could arm. Their Plan was to lock us down permanently as they took years to develop a “vax” as they slid us into WWIII w permanent mail in voting. Fear. Everyone awakes to something different. Anyone having to make “decisions” while grocery shopping is awakening.
OMG this is both hilarious and accurate. Just went through this experience on Sat. I'm single, only shop for myself and with paper/bathroom goods it was $349. About $100 more than I'm used to budgeting for. The struggle is real.
They were only part of the groceries, but I don’t buy TP, paper towels, soap, shampoo, etc. every trip. I actually got very little actual food, and no meat.
I have yet to meet a single person that hasn't had to cut back or make changes to their budget thanks to Bidenomics. I have a good job and am okay (no now) but it saddens me to go to the grocery store and think about what it must be like for a lot of people, families especially, with prices the way they are.
I was laughing out loud at this, but my wife said, "It's probably not that funny for women" :) (my wife birthed our four children, so any childbirth humor doesn't appeal to her too much :) )
Ah, I'm a mom, and I was laughing like crazy! But felt horrible afterward, because it's true. Going out to stock up at Costco used to be fun. Now it's a horror movie.
I feel badly for those that are absorbing the blow of this insanity. I’m financially insulated but I see the effects. This shit sucks.
curiosity here, but how can you be financially insulated? Lots of invested money that goes up with inflation, or you just grow your own food?

In the US, Pizza is considered a vegetable. ;)

I dread the trip when you are out of all the non -food items.
I'm guessing we don't wanna know ...

You know what's sad? If I still had my job I'd still be able to be decently fine financially. Sigh*
Ha! The cashier is hilarious and the woman is believable!
LOL this is ingenuously hilarious.
sadly... this is reality.... now do one at the gas pumps... do one for the electric and gas bill.... do one for property taxes, too!!
I feel her pain.
😂😂😂
Wins the internet today!
“When you get home, you’re going to think what did I even buy?”
Every. Single. Time.
I'm crying this is hilarious

Any humor remotely related to childbirth is not my wife's favorite humor :) (I thought it was hilarious though)
