I agree with that. Also starts with having men willing and able to take care of a wife and children.

Can't have traditional women, without traditional men.

Bingo. This is a foreign concept in the modern era.

This is exactly what the Bible promotes for a wife’s role because God knows what is best for families.

Modernity and the feminist movement have completely perverted the mother/wife role and it’s adding to the breakdown in society.

I fully intend to raise my daughter, after she is born, to be a good woman and human being, under God's grace. But you just gave me another goal. Appreciated.

Related pet peeve of mind is employers discriminating on family oriented women because of "gaps in employment". As if it's wrong to take time off for having children, taking care of elderly, etc. So what? It's not like you forgot how to work.

FOR THOSE WHO STILL REMEMBER:

Things are swinging back like the pendulum of a grandfather clock. Trad wives were the norm in the 1950s and early 1960s with lots of TV shows featuring the happy 2-parent family, well-behaved children, conservative, fatherly dad and lovely homemaker moms.

The late 60s brought 'careers as an aspiration for women', 2-income families, baby formula as an option, rising real estate prices, latch-key children, mini skirts, string bikinis, drugs, Hippies, mantras of 'Free Love', 'Love the one you're with', birth control pills, and accepted promiscuity, equal rights for blacks, and the new welfare for single mothers - but only if there was no father in the home.

The 1970s continued with careers for women being the norm, relaxed morals, Roe v. Wade and legal abortions, birth control pills for high school girls, and a ridiculing of the role of the stay at home mother with breastfeeding relegated to the backroom/bathroom as no one wanted to see it.

The 1980s and beyond discouraged one-income households and most couples felt two incomes were needed for normal purchases and to buy a better home to live in.

Things were steady and OK after that until 9/11/2001 and everything went to hell.

I'm happy to swing the pendulum back to a traditional family and a conservative America. I hope we can do it.

Didn’t Rockefeller want women to work to tax 2 incomes? I thought this was a cabal plan not only to destroy the family, community, society but make more money too

I think that is correct. They also wanted the kids to be indoctrinated by the state or the schools and without moms at home, it was much easier.

Too much makeup

It took me nearly a decade to convince my lovely wife that the only thing all that nasty shit all over her face was doing was hiding her true beauty. At one point I started refusing to kiss her if she had lipstick on, because the feeling of kissing someone with lipstick on is one of the most disgusting sensations I've ever experienced. Thank heaven, she very rarely wears any makeup at all anymore, and if she does it's a very minimal amount for something like a wedding. My daughter rarely wears makeup either, and every time I see her beautiful face next to the beautiful face of my granddaughter, I am extremely grateful for that as well.

So many women think that makeup attracts men, and they are right, but not for the reasons they think. Men aren't attracted to makeup because they like it (most men absolutely despise it), but because prostitutes wear makeup and if men see a woman with a ton of makeup on, many of them think maybe they'll get lucky and she'll be a prostitute who doesn't charge anything to give away her virtue.

Not my post, but if I was the OP, I'd be more than a bit disappointed at your reaction.

This woman is going against enormous societal pressures to be a good wife and homemaker for her husband. Not only that, she's brave enough to put herself out there on social media to encourage other women to consider being a traditional wife despite knowing that thousands of other women will call her every name in the book.

And your only reaction is a shallow comment on the very surface of her being?

To the commenter and the 12 people that upvoted this comment: shame on you.

As a woman, I’m sad I didn’t make this choice for myself. Now later in my career, I am regretful that I worked (still working) instead of being a SAHM. While my kids are older, but still in school, I’ve found a balance that is working for my family and I am more filled with happiness than I would have ever predicted. Make breakfast, make lunches, kisses before husband and kids head out the door. Bliss.

Tradwife women are genius to have made this choice early in their lives.

God Bless you for recognizing it!

I went into a career of service, until I could meet a decent husband and father. The career won't love you when you're 65. Husband and kids, yes. Don't sacrifice them for the "career"!

The problem is a result of Day Care raising your children. Both parents work to afford the 2 car, 4 bedroom 2 bath home and the kids are in daycare from 6 weeks old. Day Care will never raise a child with the parental love and correction they need to be a normal person of society and a FAMILY. My opinion!

Feminism really did kill the nuclear family, didn't it? My husband first married an ultra liberal leftist woman who believes in the matriarchy (lol), and she is trying to corrupt their sons with the men being bitches mindset. I hope that my husband chose right with me, because I try my ass off to restore our nuclear family, every day. We are due to have our daughter within the next couple days, and she is not going to be taking shit from anybody, and she will learn what right and wrong is.

To manage a home and raise up children is the greatest job on earth. That goes for the mother AND the father. Its best if the father can be at home too, working and involving the kids in the family business.

A Traditional House wife is more than a woman that takes care of a house.

Read Proverbs 31 in the bible. If you haven't read it before it will blow you away. How can a man not love a woman like that. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2031%3A10-31&version=NIV

I have always wanted this. But we can't afford it at the moment. Makes me sad that our predecessors fought for the Rockefeller money grab instead of their true sense of freedom. And now my generation, most of us don't have those opportunities, especially with the cost of living being so high

Nothing wrong with being "poor" compared to others. That is why they need us in debt, so it takes both parents in the work force, whereas in the "good ole days" ONE wage earner per family was enough. Just don't fall for it. Cut expenses to the bone, and live free and happily. Easier said than done!!

My ancestors did not fall for the "money grab" we were "poor" but didn't know it.

I grew up on a farm with 7 siblings. By today's standards we were probably poor. But I thought we were rich with such a large "estate", and so many machines. My "city" friends lived on a small lot, but had money for lots of toys. I had to earn, or build my toys.

I am a "trad wife" but not that way. My hair and makeup aren't always done. I actually don't wear makeup except eyeliner after I look in the mirror and think "I look old and sick" and it makes me feel like I look younger and healthier.

We homeschool our brood, so I wear my jammies some days all day. Most days I change into real clothes, and even wear shoes because it motivates me to move around and get things done more than socks or bare feet.

Some days I am so caught up in school and activities, that I forget to clean the house. It happens. I don't always cook what he likes, because I want him to live a long, happy and healthy life. I want him around even after the kids are grown and out of the house. So sometimes he has to eat something that he doesn't really want, but knows it's healthy for him and us.

I do buy things without his "permission", however as she said, it is OUR money. The difference is that his job gets the reward of paper that we exchange for items, and my job gets the reward when the kids are grown and we see what we did. Long term payoffs.

If it's anything expensive though, we discuss it. He does get the final say, however it isn't because he has asked for it, it's because I trust him and give him he final say.

So I guess my point is, trad wife isn't just living for your husband in a 1950's dystopia. It's also Little House on the Prairie, where the house isn't husband centered, but family centered.

I'm so glad my mom stayed home when I was growing up. She was always there when I was sick or needed help with anything. I can't imagine if she wasn't there for me. We were one of the poorer families because my dad was a teacher and she stayed home. But, he saved every penny he could and now they live in a house on a golf course in Orange County.

Her name is Estee, which is a very unusual name. The only time I've heard it is the cosmetic brand. She promotes wearing a lot of make-up as part of being a "trad-wife" to please her husband. Estee Lauder is a brand of make-up. Can I prove it? No, but that is the kind of thing advertisers do, and I don't believe in coincidences.
