COVID must be officially over as H‑E‑B has removed all checkout barriers and removed the 6 foot stickers from the floor after just 2 years! I was over joyed now being able to speak in a normal volume to the cashier. I’m sure this will set a precedent as other stores will have to follow suit.

Sheesh. Even in Colorado those have been gone for awhile.
Even in Toronto, like a year and a half ago.
NC they have been gone for several months
Here in PA, those came down in spring and early summer.
The detritus it's left all over UK streets and shops is disgusting, half wiped out here, half peeled off there, sticky adhesive remnant left on surfaces etc. And still a reminder to children of their two years' worth of ABUSE.
One forgotten aspect of the Plandemic is how coordinated all this shit was put in place everywhere, overnight, much of it PRE any 'lockdown'. I went to the supermarket one evening and everything was completely normal, I popped again the next morning on the way to work, and the entire place was re-arranged and they had the six feet Hazmat tape outside for you to queue up. It wasn't fucking magic mice that did that.
How fast and coordinated it appeared was a major redpill. Except for muzzled retards who marveled at "look how fast humans can work together for a common cause!"
We still have all the barriers and floor stickers, but nobody cares anymore, here in Australia.
Good... become ungovernable.
If there are marks on the floor I always make it a point to stand a foot or 2 away. If someone notices I tell them I watched cartoons growing up and I know you never stand on spots like that because an anvil or piano will always fall on your head. They usually laugh, but I am hoping they do the same and it spreads. Little things like that can teach others to be ungovernable, a tiny bit at a time.
😅😅
Must have been in the People's Republic of Austin. Our HEBs (Houston suburb) shit canned that stuff a long time ago. I can't even recall when it all came down.
The Texas equivalent of shithole of Boulder Colorado.
I live in the Katy (Houston suburb ) area and I’m in the store weekly. I guess our store was slow. The barriers were stupid, I had to read lips. Anyway glad they’re gone.
Our HEB hasn’t had that stuff for a while.
I guess my store was slow …
Still dealing with the dumb shit in MA. Most places got rid of the arrows and 6 foot markings but still have the plexiglass up.
First time to HEB in 2 years?
I’m there weekly but from the reply’s I’m seeing I guess some stores were slow.
Stunning and brave HEB.
<Grin>
Haven’t seen any of these for a long time here in NC
It has been removed a long time ago even in WA
Well THAT'S ancient history, as far as Texas goes. Those barriers and footprints were removed from stores here in east Tennessee over a year ago. People rather quickly got sick of the BS and the stores removed those things just as quickly.
The fact that HEB went along with that whole fiasco in a state that's supposed to be free like Texas speaks to who is really running that place on the inside at the top.
I'm curious if they mandated vaccines to employees?
Just think of the $$$$ if one had been a plexiglass distributor and fabricator...
That was a loooong time
They've been gone in blue Maryland for quite some time, i don't think I've seen them in 2023 at all
Those were still around, in TEXAS? Even in Illinois those had vanished from everywhere except government buildings a couple years ago.
What exactly does H E B mean?
DroppsaDuece, HEB are the initials of the founder of this grocery store chain, Howard E Butt.
Howard Edward Butts I think.
Though will any stores return to the 24 hour model? It sounded like stores do not do 24 hours anymore due to insurance refusing to cover them. I should ask local managers about that.
Walmart had to end 24 hours because they couldn't find any employees. They can't keep staffed for the hours they are open. There are 7 Super stores in my area and 15 Fresh Market stores. It takes 400 employees to run 24 hours a day and they can't keep the 225 it takes to run the shortened hours.
That is good to know. The manager of a local gas station told me the insurance stopped them from being able to stay open 24/7 months after covid was no longer a big issue. Also another smaller 24 hour grocery store night manager told me the same thing.
I could absolutely see the lack of employees causing that issue as well.
Thank you for this insight. It helps round out this information I had.
And then think of the quality of employees for the graveyard shift...blm light.
HEB started going away from 24 hours quite a while ago. When I moved from the Austin area to Florida in 2014 the local (to me) HEBs had already started closing at 0100. I was upset because the absolute best time to shop there was between 1 and 2am when nobody was there - I was in and out in under 20 mins.
Unfortunately when I moved back to Texas I moved to an area that doesn't have HEBs, so I only get there if I am driving to Dallas, Austin, or Houston.
I loved shopping then. You are correct, being able to get in & out in 20 minutes with a week full of groceries was awesome!
Good grief, you're slower than California.
I dont know. They PUT UP new barriers in my locally based bank in upstate NY.
Only took two weeks to flatten that curve.
Never noticed them. Not sure if they are still a thing or not in Arkansas
