Have a friend who got Jury duty and when the time came he called in and said he tested positive for covid, and they say OK, feel better you're excused. LOL!!
I've only been called twice. I was actually looking forward to it. I would have been the best jury member. I even hoped to be picked jury foreman! Too bad, their loss!
Neither time was my number selected after waiting all day in the giant holding room. Didn't need me in the end. Drove 45 minutes to the courthouse each way, had to walk 5 blocks each way from the parking garage downtown past all the panhandlers on a chilly, windy mid-December day. Spent 8.5 hrs. waiting in the freezing waiting area watching other people's numbers being called and the cheapest lunch option was $10.00 + beverage. I was in the very last group and didn't get called when the last 5:00pm trial was sorted. They handed me a voucher for $12.00 in the end and a promised bus to take us leftover stragglers back to the parking garage (it was now dark) no-showed after waiting 30 minutes. So I had to trek back on foot in the dark in the unsafe old downtown area.
My gas cost for the round trip put the day in the red at the end of it. It's a shame those of us with working brains never get to assist in such an important way.

That's the design of the system. 1) They don't want people that can think for themselves. 2) The process is your punishment. It costs you your money and your time and then they insult you by "paying" you using the tax money you paid to support their system.
What are an employer’s obligations to an employee who is under quarantine due to exposure to COVID-19?
WHD encourages employers to be accommodating and flexible with workers impacted by quarantines after exposure to COVID-19. Employers may offer alternative work arrangements, such as teleworking, and additional paid time off to such employees during a quarantine period if they are unable to telework.
While the requirement that employers provide paid sick leave to employees who are unable to work due to a quarantine related to COVID-19 under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) expired on December 31, 2020, tax credits remain available to employers who voluntarily continue to provide paid sick leave for COVID-19 related reasons. Employers who choose to provide such leave between January 1, 2021, and September 30, 2021, may be eligible for employer tax credits. Information about claiming the tax credits for paid sick leave or paid family leave wages can be found on the IRS website at: (https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/covid-19-related-tax-credits-for-paid-leave-provided-by-small-and-midsize-businesses-faqs).
In addition, other laws may have different requirements, which employers must also consider when determining their obligation to provide paid sick leave.
When I realized I had it (high fever, serious brain fog, very tired, and couldn't smell) I told them I had to sleep. I couldn't think straight. That was a Wednesday around noon. I also slept most of Thursday. By Friday I was able to get back online and work with no issues. I did take nap breaks on that Friday, and I returned to full-time duties on that Monday (I work from home). Everyone was cool with that - especially since I was over it way before most of the rest of us were. I could've taken 5-10 days off (paid) but I didn't see the point. That's not me - I'll take what I need and that's it.
I didn't even have to test (my wife tested and gave it to me) because it was obvious. They told me I couldn't go into an office without a negative test, but I told them I had no plans to go to an office for at least a month and they said that was fine as well. I did however go get an antibodies blood test about a month later to keep in my back pocket if they tried to require the vax. I never took the tests or the vax.
This ain’t funny. It’s as tho they are mocking us. “Covid” mandates ruined lives and the flu replacement was used as a bio weapon. These ppl can frig off.
Cool. Comedy isn't dead after all.
Yeah, that was actually pretty funny.

I start jury duty next month - if called, I think I'll show up and cough all over the place to see if they excuse me.
Just wear a Trump/JFK Jr 2024 shirt. Dismissed!😂
Maybe I'll do that as well.

No, please serve! We need level headed conservatives serving.
Suddenly notoriously un-funny SNL is funny.
It's great to see that they can joke so well about destroying our civilization.
Trying to normalize all of their intentional mistakes so the general population laugh off their democide attempts.
Yeah, it was ok, I chuckled. But nothing compared to SNL comedy from the 90's and early 2000's.
Super Colon Blow
"You'd have to eat 3,000 bowls of your regular bran to equal one bowl of Super Colon Blow...."
People got paid while having covid? I didn't, had to use vacation. My company is cheap
My compensation came in the form of continuing to go to work.
I'm pretty sure that's illegal. Not being facetious.
I think i got it after that law expired

Oh, I guess I also have the ability to work from home.

Honey,,,,, I have Covid, you have to watch the kids.
"Not tonight, dear, I have covid"... 🤣
The last time SNL was funny was in 2014, when they did a fake commercial for a fake sitcom called The Dudleys.
It was incredibly prophetic.
Finally something funny out of SNL
LOL @ 1:49
At 2:02 ?!?!? 👀
There is a tear in the Matrix!
