ABSOLUTELY. None of us can ever TRULY own anything. Our properties even when free of mortgage are still subject to any number of taxes that can render them worthless! TRUMP once again is proving a point. "They are not just after me, they are after US"
Yep. It's another dorm of "legal" bandage. We are debt free yet the taxes on our properties annually are enough to make it so.ething we literally have to save for. We are not a free people we live in disreality and constant "debt" to a government who then wastes exorbitantly the monies collected on countless evils.
yes, property taxes are horrible and should be unconstitutional. there are a lot of elderly who worked all their lives, paid for and cared for their homes and then in retirement they need to keep putting 100's of dollars away each month just to pay the tax man or become homeless.
why did this country ever even allow property taxes to begin with???
Because we allowed ourselves to be moved around enough that they were able to trick us into accepting it.
All the men died in the civil war.
They died again in WWI and II.
A bunch of people who hadn’t handled affairs took up doing so en masse after.
They put the women in the workplace. They slipped in the income tax. They created disasters. They shipped in hundreds of thousands of people at Ellis Island in the late 1800’s who knew nothing of where we had been. This immigration wave is not the first time they’ve attacked this country with immigrants. They completely rewrote our history.
Who are we?
People forgot. Those who knew were dead.
They knew where to attack because they planned it for 20-50 years beforehand every time.
WWI was a genocide, but against us.
The civil war was a proxy war. Between who?
WWII was the death stroke.
Very intelligent assessment regarding immigrants. I’m always wondering why such the push for them? You hit the nail on the head when you said they bring them in because they know nothing and rewrite history. Comment win right here, everything you said.
Sure, but the elderly are the ones who voted for the system we have now. And they're likely paying those taxes with the SS money they're stealing from their grandkids too. Can't feel too sorry for them. Feel sorry for their kids and grandkids though.
F you! You know nothing! We did not vote for the system any more than you did. Stop blaming us! We worked our ass off. You think we had choices? F you and the victim mentality you have acquired! Your parents would be so proud.
It’s a valid notion, even if it’s not humbly or graciously presented. “Social security” is a truly insidious program that disrupts the honoring and respect between generations by corrupting the connections between them, and it does victimize all people involved, as all forms of slavery and corruption do.
We can grow past it and overcome, though. All things are possible through Christ.
Please wait for cleared emotions before reading, and rest assured that it is a genuine, severe problem that we should desire to end as soon as we can.
What exactly do you expect the old and disabled to do when they are not able to 'be productive'? I'd say you'd be better off attacking the entitled and lazy. But no!
Not one word about them. No name calling (Ie. Boomer). Where is the respect?
Maybe you don't understand that Soc sec has been stolen from for years to fund communism!
You selfish assholes can hug a nut! In the meantime talk shit, you'll get shit!
Re-read what I wrote, please. I am not trying to be disrespectful in the slightest.
I appreciate your situation, and fully understand that they have stolen from us, and have us all in a “chinese finger-trap.” The answers to your questions are there.
You need to understand that both parties in the “social security” trap are being victimized and stolen from, and true to the named trap, neither side can pull themselves out. Both sides must be willing to calmly relax the tension on the trap to get out.
I don’t see that happening as long as some people blame others. Frankly, I have young adult children and they would have gotten the same response from me if they had said it. Real tired of taking the blame when we did the best we could and people that haven’t walked the walk being critical. Sorry, not sorry.
I didn’t and don’t blame you, and you may notice pointed out his lack of patience to him as well.
The Bible calls us to humility, forgiveness, and to offer our other cheek to be slapped. We should always be seeking after God’s righteousness for everyone involved.
I agree with your analogy, however I do think that it leaves out the important aspect that one party is responsible for putting the trap on. Much of the people on the other end weren't even alive when the trap was put on. The fact that elderly people are unwilling to acknowledge their part in the problem shows they aren't serious about trying to resolve the problem.
Social Security money was spend 34 trillion dollars ago. Anyone still supporting Social Security is a thief. I'm totally sympathetic that the fact that the government stole your money, but you lose me when that becomes an excuse to steal from everyone else, including your own children and grand children.
Many of them had their parental guidance murdered overseas or were hypnotized into thinking that a dog was a cat prior to dissenting information being at the touch of their fingers.
They are being selfish in their continued support of it, but selfish insofar as they need housing and food and are used to providing it from their own hands or the fruits of legal contracts.
You aren’t wrong, just have more patience with them, it is going to take patient explaining, not hasty accusation.
Nobody likes being accused. Even when you’re right it makes the person dig in their heels, and it takes practice to get past doing. I myself am still quite bad at it.
“COMMUNISM" ... is a truly insidious program that disrupts the honoring and respect between generations by corrupting the connections between them, and it does victimize all people involved, as all forms of slavery and corruption do.
Don’t disagree that it’s a communist program, but the solution to it lies in understanding it’s mechanics and how to get a solution implemented by people who don’t functionally work for us or care what we think.
In that, calling it “communist” doesn’t help, though it be correct.
Does help knowing FDR and his communist programs are deeply imbedded. Can't correct what you can't recognize. Before correction comes widespread understanding.
well said Drake. his parents probably are proud of him, after all they raised a leftard, in all his victimhoodness! not a word i know, but seemed to fit nicely here.
The elderly are trapped. Even if they realize the problem with it, they can’t live without that money because they planned with it. Their children can’t afford to honor thine father and mother apart from government because they’re already paying for both them through government, and for the bureaucracy that skims off “their” savings that were already spent.
This problem could be resolved almost overnight. First remove the bureaucrats and their skimming, then allow those who have the means to choose the ability to reduce or remove their payments to the system, as obligations lower, wean the system down. Nothing really changes except cutting out the parasitic middlemen.
This action will make clear one of the true meanings of the Ten Commandments that we’ve been denied the ability to even know, and will determine the future of this nation if we can get this accomplished.
HONOR THY FATHER AND THY MOTHER, SO THAT YOUR DAYS MAY BE LONG IN THE LAND THAT THE LORD THY GOD IS GIVING YOU.. Exodus 20:22
The "elderly" are like frogs in a pot of water. The heat was slowly turned up but the frogs did not notice. Now the water is coming to a boil and many of the frogs are starting to notice.
Voting doesn’t hold politicians to account. There are other, peaceful, ways to do that which we have forgotten and have to re-learn.
These methods may not currently work very well at the federal level yet, either. To be determined.
Voting, ideally, should just be a way to select who can most intelligently and lawfully resolve the problems brought in that require statutory guidance.
I'll never forget this one. I was in charge of delivering the winnings of a raffle by a charitable organization. I knew the lady who won it. Apparently one of her sons bought the ticket for her. At first she didn't believe me and then broke down and cried saying she can now pay her property taxes for that year. That was in the 80"s.
This and interest rates are what really scare me. I’m a young(ish) first time homeowner. Bought a year before covid thankfully. Between the low value during the time and buying a fixer upper foreclosure, I got a great deal. Had a $1,700 mortgage payment. The downside to that was I had to pay all closing costs and sunk pretty much my entire savings to that and renovating the house, and turning the basement into an apartment with separate entrance. Doing 90% of the work myself. Refinanced during covid and got a lower interest rate plus the PMI taken off, lowering my monthly payment to $1,350 a month. Which saved me because I didn’t know how I was going to make my payments. It was during lockdown and I wasn't working either of my jobs. But since my main job was still paying me I didn’t not qualify for the weekly payments for unemployment. That didn’t last long. Next the personal property taxes rose like crazy and then the insurance. Bringing my monthly payment back up to $1,800 a month, more than I was originally paying! After I refinanced, I got approved for a HELOC. I needed it to help the cost of renovations, and honestly to also buy some gold and silver because I was afraid of what was coming. But I needed it to stay afloat. The downside to that is it’s a variable interest rate, which has been a high 9% since I got it. Which is based off it being 1% higher than what the market rate is. I needed to rent my basement out to survive, but needed the HELOC to finish the renovations to be able to do that. Now that I’ve had a renter in there it’s been helping a lot, and I probably couldn’t survive without it. But, what I’m afraid of is in the future, if (when) shit starts hitting the fan and the interest skyrockets because of it. I just hope I’ll be able to keep up with the payments and not lose my house that I’ve put so much money, time, and blood, sweat, and tears into 😔. Pray for me and the many others out there like me who don’t have much of an emergency fund to fall back on.
If you don’t need the HELOC anymore you can always refinance it into your mortgage to keep the interest rate fixed. That is if you want to go through another refinance. Also your property will appraise higher with the rental finished. Might cost you a bit of money on the front end but you’ll avoid monthly rate increases. Or you could hold tight and wait for Trump to get in. I think interest rates will drop after that. No matter what don’t worry. There’s many options. Will pray for you 🙏🏼
Housing market is slowly crashing. Seems to be repeating what happened in 2008. If this is the case, hang tight and interest rates should drop. Otherwise, best thing would probably be to refinance again with a fixed interest rate.
Yea I’m not a financial person at all, especially when it comes to stocks or how things work on a large scale. I hope you are correct. An article I saw the other day made me think opposite and a bit worried. It was something about the FED chairman, Powell, talking something about stocks and interest hikes. And people were commenting saying that he’s trying to fluff the stock market and making it seem like it’s doing better than it really is. And that could mean in the future, massive interest hikes. But then again, who knows if I was even understanding that right. I just thought that if interest got crazy high like in the 70’s and 80’s (so I’ve heard) to 15-20% then I would be screwed.
Whenever I read stuff like this I remember Marv Heemeyer and am surprised that doesn't happen more often. I know they say you can't fight City Hall, but Marv demolished it and did the same to the former mayor's home. Our country is out of control with neighbors shooting each other over disputes about where snow gets shoveled and all sorts of petty shit and it just seems odd to me something as major as losing ones home wouldn't trigger more of that.
Note to FBI: NOT ADVOCATING people attack public officials or property. AM ADVOCATING for everyone to respect each other's rights.
My husbands grandmother had her home taken for back taxes back in the 80s. He kids had to put her in a rest home for the rest of her life.
Used to be that they waited three years before taking it but that has now been reduced to two.
Is this a good time to plug the fact that Alaska has a vast Unorganized Borough, which actually isn't a Borough, but as a consequence of having no municipal level government also has no property tax?
Some other states have ways of doing the same thing. Look around at how things are named and start researching topics like, “what is a ‘commonwealth’, legally?”
Most people who pull it off are smart and don’t talk about it.
During the slave period, the first line of defense for the slave masters were the other slaves. If anyone tried to escape, they’d whip everyone who didn’t. The slaves would passionately work to prevent anyone from trying to leave to avoid further punishments.
They didn’t stop using that trick. Once we wake people up, more people can teach better ways to make things work, but till the slaves realize they can and should leave the plantation, those people will need to stay quiet.
The larger concept is called an allodial title. There are still instances of its existence in the Western World, like Somerset House and one of the Scottish Baronies predates the feudal system, but as you probably noticed that's not going to help you or I.
Alaska is as close as I think anyone that isn't on a tribal reservation will ever come to it. Property taxes are one of the ways the Government compels you to continue to participate in their rigged games. If you ever owned your own land and weren't beholden to a superior landlord, aka the State, that would represent a loss of some of the State's power over you and they're not about to do that unless they have to.
Having not done it in Alaska, but done it offgrid in the north Midwest my biggest hassle, besides money, was government regulations that force me to hire "skilled" trades and finding any of them to work on a self-contracted build.
It's an utter scam the Democrats enacted here a while ago. Why I say it is obviously a scam is to become a master electrician requires 10,000 hours of experience over a period of at least 5 years, or 12 months as a Journeyman electrician (which has thousands of hours of time spent) OR a 4 year electrician engineering degree, I'm a mechanical engineer, so I can be a master plumber just by passing a book test. Do you know how much residential plumbing we did in engineering school? Zero, which is the same amount the electricial engineers did with residential wiring.
So this was obviously a Democratic pay off to the Unions and the schools. But it's even more stupid than that. If you buy an existing home, you can pull a permit and complete rip everything out and redo all of it yourself, exactly like you would have done with new construction. If they want to argue it's a safety thing why they don't let you do it in new construction it makes zero sense to let you do it in a building you occur. And even more insane you CAN do it in new construction as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity.
rent
Payment, usually of an amount fixed by contract, made by a tenant at specified intervals in return for the right to occupy or use the property of another.
The banks can take your money because you're a creditor of the bank. Stocks are owned by a single holding company. Property is yours as long as you pay your tax rent. You will own nothing and be happy.
What is the root of their claim? Where are the keys to their shackles? How am I chained? How can I pick this lock?
Think of it this way:
If they don’t have a valid claim to your labor, or your property, it’s not “income tax”, or “property tax”, it’s “armed assault”, “extortion”, or “theft”, under natural law.
By what means of trickery do they lay their claims in order to CYA themselves?
ABSOLUTELY. None of us can ever TRULY own anything. Our properties even when free of mortgage are still subject to any number of taxes that can render them worthless! TRUMP once again is proving a point. "They are not just after me, they are after US"

Cabal needs more money, that's why.
Cabal can just print money. More so that you don't own anything, and you need to feel like you're paying for something.

the elderly that are on SS now, paid into it as well. you are quite a few decades off on who you are accusing of who voted for this system.
Sorry, I didn't realize that no one has done any voting the past 50 years. Thank you for correcting my oversight.

The most recent is in Oregon. They are saying your water on your property does not belong to you and if you have a well or stream, cannot use it.
Don't forget about eminent domain. They can take your property for the "greater good".
Yes. They are now closing and taking people livelihood in Oregon because water on your property is not yours.

Do you think they’re unattainable at this point?
Alaska is as close as I think anyone that isn't on a tribal reservation will ever come to it. Property taxes are one of the ways the Government compels you to continue to participate in their rigged games. If you ever owned your own land and weren't beholden to a superior landlord, aka the State, that would represent a loss of some of the State's power over you and they're not about to do that unless they have to.
Yep! In my state, and others, you can get property taxes lowered through homesteading tax laws.

Wow. If you can survive in AK, it's a good deal.
Ooh. I see what you are talking about. That's a good explanation. Paid off to all these demons were their first job for these Dems.
You can also get a loan on a $400,000 house to pay the tax bill.
What's the details in this case?
This should be the top comment.
The banks can take your money because you're a creditor of the bank. Stocks are owned by a single holding company. Property is yours as long as you pay your tax rent. You will own nothing and be happy.
Yes. People don’t realize they already won that battle.
We are fighting our way out right now.
Can we at least squat in our own homes if we can't afford the taxes? Or is it only illegals that are allowed to squat?
There may be ways.
Income tax, too.
They’re only slave masters if we let them be.
Not a chance! My county would take my house in a year.
LOL- who knows but they certainly wouldn’t wast time. The county’s broke.
Know about that and also about home owner association. Learn too late about that.
