DeSantis' presidential campaign served it's purpose on several levels including draining money from and exposing RINOs while providing a good distraction and likely also providing the WH with more communication and financial trails-networks to track and monitor. For those who follow him somewhat closely, he seemed out-of-character during that time and popped right back to being a strong leader causing the DS players in Florida much consternation as soon as his brief presidential campaign ended.
I must say, I appreciate DeSantis endorsing Trump but not brown nosing the way Ramas did. There is something commendable in that. My DeSantis friends are now all about RFK but they understand that I am voting for Trump & probably would too - esp if RFK endorses him in the end ;)

"DeSanctimonious" is far from a Trump kill shot: It isn't short; catchy; visual; deeply insulting; or appealing to the masses.
"DeSanctus" is more of the same, just half the syllables. Sanctus just means holy; not exactly a devastating moniker to brand an opponent with.
"Sanctimony" (a word seldom encountered in daily usage that be defined by fewer than 50% of Americans) is not the most prominent feature of the guy to make fun of.
