Clever! Trump Says Democracy, While Biden says Republic...
Trump is caving on Federal Abortion Law and Same-Sex Marriage... He is going to garner support among the more moderate left.
I don’t think he is caving. He is being realistic that compromise on some things are necessary in order to save the country. If he has a rigid stance then there may be a “nothing” result. I would rather flexibility now, to turn the country around. Sometimes you need to take baby steps in order to slowly turn the more brain washed/rigid around.
He's moving us back to the constitutional position, which is the states can have differing laws until a national consensus emerges.
Once the real motivations of the abortion industry are revealed to the general public, I suspect a move will be made.
!00% this.
Exactly.
States can just have differing laws…no national consensus needs to emerge. Thats the whole point of federalism.
LOL that actually is my point...
I'm a 9th-grade dropout and I'm not that great at conveying meaning. Basiclly Trump and Q are using their own tactics against them. Already garnering more black votes than any Republican in a very long time. Got the Dems split into Pro Israel elderly and moderate, while the young people are waving Palestinian flags.
I'm constantly in the face of the fake jews on Twitter, I support the Tora Jews not the Babylonian Jews. The Palestinians have actual Israeli DNA. The Fake Jews control the world including Israel, there are plenty of pro-Palestine Jews protesting in Israel, which the population of Israel is about 55% Atheist to begin with.
Same sex marriage is difficult to deal with though. There is no Constitutional stance that there is a restriction on it; the only restrictions come from religion and older religious based law.
With how ingrained the government has gotten with marriage (benefits, penalties, etc.) it has created a disconnect between traditional, religious-based marriages and the modern day government "allowed" marriages.
Like with social security, if one wants to remove government mingling, people will have to be prepared to make sacrifices of government benefits and -- again, like social security -- few are willing to make those sacrifices if they benefit from them.
Frankly, the government never should have gotten involved with marriage to begin with. It should have remained within the religious sphere, where religions treat marriages in their own ways.
Abortions I find myself fairly staunchly against, as if we're giving illegals Constitutional protections then we should give the unborn those same protections..and therefore it is indisputably murder.
Yeah the Tora Jews are pretty awesome. Can't tell if they've always been a thing but if they are I wasn't aware of it.
I think there is a national consensus on abortion where it is a rare occurence to protect the life of the mother. The problem arises when it is used as birth control. Simply terminating an unwanted pregnancy, which typically comes about through irresponsible or hedonistic behavior, is a murder of convenience, plain and simple, and is to be condemned.
Imagine saying this about slaves though when the abolitionists were trying to abolish slavery…
Everyone prefers to own slaves so there’s no realistic way we will convince them all to stop.. might as well and try to limit the amount they can own.
Agreed...
How so exactly? It’s a state issue.
Exactly. There is no federal abortion law. Never was. Was always a states issue just like weed, just like marriage, just like many things.
States need to learn to ignore SCOTUS more often just like they did when SCOTUS said slavery was okay because blacks weren't equal.
The legislative body of the state and federal government make laws, not unelected judges.
Read "Dred Scott"
With a south Carolina accent. You'll laugh your ass off.
Do you not remember when slavery was a states issue? There’s a reason that was put in the constitution.
That's why..., he can take credit for being a moderate while not having any effect on his personal state's right stance.
Art of the Deal.
he isnt caving. these are state issues not federal.
Sigh: I know that! and both he and I agree... He is sailing a tack that will garner some votes while not affecting anything. The Liberals WANT a federal law, He isn't supporting that.
i agree. liberals want him to back a national ban so they can make him lose ground w females
So you think slavery is a states issue too? Is that what you would have told the abolitionists? That states should be able to decide if you can own a slave or not?
yes I do. The federal government is to be only to protect the states, not run their world
Trump will not institute a theocracy.
Let the awakening sort everything out
Yeah,
Abortion has lost us dozens of elections since Roe was overturned.
abortion is the key plank of feminism. if we cant outlaw women killing their own offspring we might as well not have a government at all. the fact that this is treated as such a normal thing is insane.
Agree.
Yeah, I'm probably one of the most anti-abortion people on this board, however, Trump taking a moderate stance is ok by me, as long as the state's right to ban is ok..
Same thing with Marriage, Trump also is taking a stance on that as a moderate. Gays being allowed to be married is already law, so him not going after that is ok.
Trump calling the USA a Democracy, while Biden calling it a Republic is a clever inside joke on that message... IE he is playing politics.
The Q plan is to overwhelm the system with Trump support. That way they can't cheat to win without turning even more people into Trumpers. I have no idea what will happen, but using the divide and conquer tech. is working quite well so far...
I am Pro-life. The reason I stand with Trump on this is because out of all the pro-life politicians and presidents. Only he has moved the needle.
Results baby, results!!
stolen. they want you to think its a losing issue
No. It actually is losing us elections, legitimately. I know this because my ruby red state lost a special election over the issue, and it was clear the people had spoken. There are a lot of republican women who are pro-choice.
