Trump is caving on Federal Abortion Law and Same-Sex Marriage... He is going to garner support among the more moderate left.
I don’t think he is caving. He is being realistic that compromise on some things are necessary in order to save the country. If he has a rigid stance then there may be a “nothing” result. I would rather flexibility now, to turn the country around. Sometimes you need to take baby steps in order to slowly turn the more brain washed/rigid around.
He's moving us back to the constitutional position, which is the states can have differing laws until a national consensus emerges.
Once the real motivations of the abortion industry are revealed to the general public, I suspect a move will be made.
!00% this.
Exactly.
States can just have differing laws…no national consensus needs to emerge. Thats the whole point of federalism.
That's what slave owners said when people were trying to abolish slavery.
LOL that actually is my point...
I'm a 9th-grade dropout and I'm not that great at conveying meaning. Basiclly Trump and Q are using their own tactics against them. Already garnering more black votes than any Republican in a very long time. Got the Dems split into Pro Israel elderly and moderate, while the young people are waving Palestinian flags.
I'm constantly in the face of the fake jews on Twitter, I support the Tora Jews not the Babylonian Jews. The Palestinians have actual Israeli DNA. The Fake Jews control the world including Israel, there are plenty of pro-Palestine Jews protesting in Israel, which the population of Israel is about 55% Atheist to begin with.
Same sex marriage is difficult to deal with though. There is no Constitutional stance that there is a restriction on it; the only restrictions come from religion and older religious based law.
With how ingrained the government has gotten with marriage (benefits, penalties, etc.) it has created a disconnect between traditional, religious-based marriages and the modern day government "allowed" marriages.
Like with social security, if one wants to remove government mingling, people will have to be prepared to make sacrifices of government benefits and -- again, like social security -- few are willing to make those sacrifices if they benefit from them.
Frankly, the government never should have gotten involved with marriage to begin with. It should have remained within the religious sphere, where religions treat marriages in their own ways.
Abortions I find myself fairly staunchly against, as if we're giving illegals Constitutional protections then we should give the unborn those same protections..and therefore it is indisputably murder.
I already made the sacrifice for SS and am still making it. I have now paid in 46 years and that's after retiring early. I had trouble finding work from a Layoff in 2013 (I collected Unemployment a few months until Obama stopped it) Then I lived entirely on my savings and rental income. for a few years. In 2015 I resumed work PT at the OCCC in Orlando. Then in 2017 I sold all but one of my modest properties and moved abroad from fall of 17 until fall of 2020, Covid scam separated me and the wife due to lockdowns,
I started my SS AFTER moving back to the USA due to the lockdown separation and filed for Early 62 retirement. I lived on savings from the sale of 2 of my condos. Now in a new state and city, I'm a renter at 1995 a month. We were paying 875 for a crappy apt. So I returned to work.
My SS started at 1049 due to early retirement and Orlando had shitty wages for decades. Thats with massive OT when I could get it. Now I'm at 1256 because of COLA and resuming work.
In 2021 I went over the Salary Cap of 19,500 by 8,000, so SS took 3 month of my SS starting in Sept. of 22. For 23 I went over the cap by 20,000 and they will take back about 7 months of SS, so if they start in Sept. like last year it will be April or May of Next year before I get SS again. This year I'm going to quit when I reach the cap so as to not add to the months taken away. Alternatively I can pay the 10,000 and not lose any SS, and still get this benefit.
NOW, they are still withholding SS, I pay taxes on the SS I do get. and the claw back. As far as my case goes get the F out of here with that BS! The REAL issue facing us is the massive numbers of illegals who often get paid cash no taxes. I paid and still pay in for the people retired before me. Anyone working now needs to pay in for me. Fuck Corporations who want that cheap labor. Illegals get paid cash with no SS, no Income Tax, No workers comp insurance, no unemployment, no vacation, sick days, insurance. Often no 1.5 for OT.
Corporate America paying the Illegals 20 bucks an hour cash would cost 35 dollars an hour with taxes and benefits. So Corporate says 35 bucks to hire American or 20 bucks to hire illegals...
Boot them out, but make a decent guest worker system that's fair. Top that off with making people on the dole go to work. I'm disabled, but NEVER collected disability, I found work I could do, security.
My disabilities I worked through? Lazy Eye from daddy punching mommy in the belly, also whatever fetal alcohol syndrome caused. Then there the PTSD from watching mom getting beat up by every man in her life except the last one. In 1988 I was run over by a battery powered forklift, My foot basically exploded and my tibia was broken completely in 2 an inch above my ankle.
There are plenty of people who could work but chose not to because of disability. However its this mindset, get all you can. Why work for 2K a month, when you can be on the dole and get 1400 sitting on your butt? They feel that they are only getting 600 a month to work since they get that check.
Another thing, Only earned income causes the cap clawback to trigger. Unearned income NEVER triggers the claw back. Some people have many many ways of money coming in. Maybe that should be looked at...
There is also a cap on earnings where it becomes tax exempt. Maybe if Elon earns 100 B, he should pay that 6.5% SS of 65M on it eh? Better to have the richest people pay in that than all the shitty charities they fund with their money and use to control the entity. Ask The Clinton Foundation, the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation.
My rent is 1995, and my SS is currently 1256, I didn't EVER mooch off the government. I had a good situation, but COVID screwed me, I'm Patriotic, but couldn't serve, thanks for disqualifying me daddy, punches to pregnant bellies have a cost.
I went to Trade School, completed 12 month coarse in 8. Got a high enough score on the ACT test to get a scholarship I didn't really want (Honors 2+2, full ride), because my score qualified me, and the school doesn't have a student scoring high enough they don't get the money. I quit with a B+ average and 37 credits, not bad for a person with a GED who dropped out of ninth.
There's a lot more I can say, but I don't want to triple the comment. My life should have caused me to be a Libtard, God saved me from that. KEK.
NCSWIC WW, and WWG1WGA Fren.
Yeah the Tora Jews are pretty awesome. Can't tell if they've always been a thing but if they are I wasn't aware of it.
They are a minority, the fake murdering, pedophile Babylonian Talmud Jews are the dominant. BTW 55% of Israeli are Atheist....and the Palestinians have more Tora Jew DNA than the Talmud Jews who have little to none.Plenty of Tora Jews speaking up and protesting the current Genocide.
I think there is a national consensus on abortion where it is a rare occurence to protect the life of the mother. The problem arises when it is used as birth control. Simply terminating an unwanted pregnancy, which typically comes about through irresponsible or hedonistic behavior, is a murder of convenience, plain and simple, and is to be condemned.
Imagine saying this about slaves though when the abolitionists were trying to abolish slavery…
Everyone prefers to own slaves so there’s no realistic way we will convince them all to stop.. might as well and try to limit the amount they can own.
Agreed...
How so exactly? It’s a state issue.
Exactly. There is no federal abortion law. Never was. Was always a states issue just like weed, just like marriage, just like many things.
States need to learn to ignore SCOTUS more often just like they did when SCOTUS said slavery was okay because blacks weren't equal.
The legislative body of the state and federal government make laws, not unelected judges.
Read "Dred Scott"
With a south Carolina accent. You'll laugh your ass off.
Do you not remember when slavery was a states issue? There’s a reason that was put in the constitution.
Remind me which did the right thing first .... The federal government or certain states that led to that?
Which lead and which followed?
I rest my case.
That's why..., he can take credit for being a moderate while not having any effect on his personal state's right stance.
Art of the Deal.
he isnt caving. these are state issues not federal.
Sigh: I know that! and both he and I agree... He is sailing a tack that will garner some votes while not affecting anything. The Liberals WANT a federal law, He isn't supporting that.
i agree. liberals want him to back a national ban so they can make him lose ground w females
Yuppers.
So you think slavery is a states issue too? Is that what you would have told the abolitionists? That states should be able to decide if you can own a slave or not?
yes I do. The federal government is to be only to protect the states, not run their world
So you think states should be allowed to permit slavery? Thats wild. Do you know how the civil war started?
Trump will not institute a theocracy.
Let the awakening sort everything out
Yeah,
Abortion has lost us dozens of elections since Roe was overturned.
abortion is the key plank of feminism. if we cant outlaw women killing their own offspring we might as well not have a government at all. the fact that this is treated as such a normal thing is insane.
Agree.
Yeah, I'm probably one of the most anti-abortion people on this board, however, Trump taking a moderate stance is ok by me, as long as the state's right to ban is ok..
Same thing with Marriage, Trump also is taking a stance on that as a moderate. Gays being allowed to be married is already law, so him not going after that is ok.
Trump calling the USA a Democracy, while Biden calling it a Republic is a clever inside joke on that message... IE he is playing politics.
The Q plan is to overwhelm the system with Trump support. That way they can't cheat to win without turning even more people into Trumpers. I have no idea what will happen, but using the divide and conquer tech. is working quite well so far...
I am Pro-life. The reason I stand with Trump on this is because out of all the pro-life politicians and presidents. Only he has moved the needle.
Results baby, results!!
Bingo! My stance with a better wording.
stolen. they want you to think its a losing issue
No. It actually is losing us elections, legitimately. I know this because my ruby red state lost a special election over the issue, and it was clear the people had spoken. There are a lot of republican women who are pro-choice.
