Don't forget Ross Perot too! Made money charts to SHOW the people.
Frankly, the best nominees I saw from them in recent memory were Jo Jorgenson and Harry Browne. This nominee is Johnson 2.0, who, IMHO was one of, if not the worst, I've seen) I believe it was Mike Lindell who reported that some votes were flipped from Jorgenson to Biden (through a double flip) I'm not certain of all the details, but I do recall hearing about it back at the time.
What was wrong with Gary Johnson?
Seemed like a decent guy to me: a popular and populist Republican Gov of new Mexico.
Watch the 2016 Libertarian debate with Mc Afee, Petersen and Johnson, moderated by John Stossell. He would not stand for religious freedom over catering to the LGBTQIA(P) community on the issue of states' rights. Both McAfee and Petersen would.

Ok, that one's substantive.
( I admit to watching the specific segment more than 3 times to ensure I heard Johnson correctly)
Johnson was a decent (not great) Republican governor but then he became a single issue candidate as a Libertarian Prez candidate - Legalize recreational marijuana - that's it.
Yeah, I remember that. Definitely a gotcha; I was hoping he'd recover. I assume he was trying to make the point that America comes first, and was corralled and edited into a gaffe.
Johnson was an oblivious douche at best (unlikely) and controlled infiltration at worst (almost certain).
Everything he did moved the libertarian party away from economic liberty and responsible social freedom toward economics??? and libertinism.
It was disgusting.
Then again, the LP’s original goal may have been to move that whole train of thought into a sandbox away from the RP to keep those influences in check while also weakening the RP as a whole.
The LP needs to be reintegrated into the RP, and there’s no better way to do it than by running a clown for nominee.
This is not only amazing, it’s the best outcome we should have expected!

I'm pretty sure he had no idea at the time what Aleppo is.
Just to add, he also knew nothing about foreign policy. In many interviews he was clueless.
I voted for Gary Johnson once. What ruined his career was his “What’s Aleppo?” Answer to a question about Syria.
Ross Perot was in a different third party- the Reform Party.
Ross Perot was with the Reform Party. Trump was once a part of the Reform Party. Pat Buchanan and Jesse Ventura too. Ventura was the only successful Reform Party politician. Then the controlled opposition threw that KKK bozo David Duke into the Reform Party and Trump gave up on them. Trump had polled well for a potential Reform Party Presidential candidate up until then.

Patriots are in control. The Libertarians selecting this thang as their candidate will move many of their members over to the MAGA side of things and will possibly draw some votes away from pResident Burden - this nomination helps nobody but PDJT.
I had the same thought. They pushed the most crazy nominee and now the sane and rational libertarians are going to nope right out of that. They will be voting for Trump.
Hell, just a 1% swing from their voters would be massive in the closer races.
Mark Dice showed some other Libertarian creep candidate from before. The fat bozo stripped on stage. Insane. Trump is a conservative libertarian. I think he scored big points with that appearance he did at their convention. The "let's legalize cocaine for children" part of the Libertarian crowd is hopeless anyway.
loz, exposing that they are the liberaltarian party...
Suggested edit "Liberal-tarian"
how dare you?!?! reeeee....
except no capitalization on liberal, good call.
Correct spelling is Liber-tard-ian. /s (because they sheeple retards, yes.)
There are a lot of things each party has to offer for learning how things should go - even the “liberals”, and especially the libertarians.
Reintegrating their valuable principles into the RP Platform may well be the saving grace of the nation. Keeping in check their tendencies to overintellectualize and eschew action and gut instinct will be amazeballs.
This has not always been true, but it actually helps Trump. Jo Jorgenson and Harry Browne were the two that most fit the Libertarian Party principles.
I beg to say that the LP's first presidential candidate (1972), Dr. John Hospers, was an impeccable libertarian of great sagacity and reason. The next candidate (1976), Roger MacBride, was also pretty good.
Those two were before I started following the LP, I'm interested in learning more about them. Thank you for the information!
Hospers was a professor of philosophy at USC and a friend of the novelist Ayn Rand. I was privileged to be acquainted with him through the publication of a national-defense-related newsletter for libertarians. He literally wrote the book on libertarianism ("Libertarianism---A Political Philosophy for Tomorrow," 1971). I participated in MacBride's campaign and met him in passing, but never knew him very well. He was a very hale sort of character.
"Anything goes" is the motto for both, I'm not surprised.
I left the Libertarian Party when they said that we need to be actively anti-racist during the George Floyd psy-op
Thank you, Moderators! I neither expected flame nor sticky, but both are appreciated.
Post Script, I did not realize how ironic this actually was, until I remembered the Libertarian Party had sent the GOP a RIP bouquet in 2008, after McCain won the Nomination:

I believe this song by Remy is appropriate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9p1ivjT-0c&list=RDMMZ83PICHUwSc&index=16
This is actually excellent. It just moved most of the Libertarian voters into the Trump camp. Another potentially 2% nation wide shift to Trump.
The Libertarian party is run by the uniparty. The only people i know that were in the party (a long time ago) were progressives, except they wanted legal pot.
(They did let Harry Browne and Jo Jorgenson have the nomination, but I see your point)
I honestly didn't know Harry Browne, but Jo Jorgenson always came off like a grifter. If elected through some miracle, i expected a Ukranian buyout day one and we'd get a Democrat president.
I get the feeling this is part of the show. The Libertarian Party had long since been corrupted by globalists. It needs its own reset and what better way to do that then with this guy ruining their entire election cycle.
I'm a libertarian but also I live in reality. Anyone thinks this fagboy is a viable candidate needs some of pedo Joe's medicine. I loved when Trump said they can vote for me or keep on getting their 3 percent hahahahaha
